Yeah, football physics and AI are a nightmare with all the things occurring on the field at one given time. I don't think that gives them a pass on not doing it though. The majority of their year to year work is design stuff, implementing non-gameplay features that really don't take a whole lot of time to do. The fact that the actual gameplay is virtually untouched year to year(aside from one or two subtle changes they hype the **** out of that usually ends up not happening all that frequently anyway) is pretty inexcusable. $60+ a year from millions should be enough to invest some of it back into improving their product.

I hate how it seems they swap out features. Like the passing cone and the highlight stick got taken out in favor for w.e. the hell is in there now. I kept stiff arming smashing the A button thinking it would be the speed burst.

they have added some of them and others will do as they sign contracts and did like 6 roster updates since the lockup ended

2k is a tough game to learn. You have to actually run plays and move the ball around to be effective. That's what makes it so great.

I dont know about all that...I dont really run any plays at all. And I still dominate. :D

That said, the removal of the hop step has changed things a bit for me.

Apparently you can do it with the shot stick and it's more of a timed layup thing or something. I'm not a fan.

That said, the hop step was so cheap anyway...it's just a big ole travel anyway.

Yeah, hitting the Y button to hop step was easily the most annoying and abused part of the 2K series. I'm really glad they changed it. If you hit left trigger while going toward the basket and left or right on the shot stick it initiates the hop step. It's much more difficult to pull of which I think is good.

Snake Eater (MGS3) and Peace Walker are prequels. So if you wanna jump into the series, I'd start there.

From there, I'd try to get a copy of the original MGS1 and play it on a PS2 or something. MGS2 simply will not make sense unless you've played MGS1. And MGS1 is still the 1a to Ocarina of Time's 1b as far as "greatest games ever made" is concerned.

I actually think you'll have a lot of appreciation for MGS1 and MGS2 if you play Snake Eater and Peace Walker first.

Reach is the absolute worst, although I do have some fond memories playing with Jvig and DK. We had the single most epic comeback in Reach history one game. Grenade spamming ftmfw.
