My only response to this poll is that the Lions will be doomed from 2008 till further notice while the Dolphins have made the necessary changes to become competitive. We had William Clay Ford long before Millen and we still have him as our owner = futility until he passes away or gives the team to his son. We are simply going nowhere any time soon so I'd take Miami's position every day of the year.

I would say that at each resective time, I think that Detroit has more talent to hope with heading into 2009 than Miami had heading into 2008. Then again, Miami has looked pretty good this season, that just goes to show you never know.
Detroit is fighting years of ineptitude and the moves they choose to remake that front office are going to be the single biggest factors.

While Cameron is a crappy head coach, he is a hell of a lot better than the moron currently coaching the Lions so they win by that technicality.

He actually played their rookies!
Just an update for everyone.. Gosder Cherilus is back on the bench. No other rookie is even playing.

I think Avril saw like 20 plays this week so Dumbass is improving in that aspect.

I swear, against any other team last week the Vikings lose by 20+. They played sooooo poorly but the Lions were just awful.
Question though.
1-10, how funny would it have been if the ball was on the right hash instead of the left hash and Orlovsky would have ran into the goalpost on the safety?

everyone would have been in a state of shocked disbelief, then calmly walked out of the stadium. probably would have chuckled to themselves on the drive back home, wondering when they can finally return and watch competitive football.

They would have to lose every game for like two years for me to think that (haha Tampa Bay).

I was just being facetious, relax. Though I did see a thing on the NFL Network once about that team and it was hilarious when they showed footage of how awful they were.
