To piggyback off of what BF said on the last page:

http://seattletimes.com/html/huskyfo...mora13xml.html

There has always been Jim Mora to UW ties but it just never worked out.

Also, thanks for all of those Rose Bowls you said we'd go to, Sark.

Seattle talk radio is having a good time with this. Nobody who is a UW is really all that mad, Sark wasn't going anywhere and the team had stagnated. Couldn't fire him, but a different coach might be a better fit. Sark is an LA guy, have fun in LA, let us get someone who truly bleeds Purple and Gold.

I gotta change my sig now. Dang.

Sark is a Utah guy! He really wants to coach BYU! Just using USC as a stepping stone.

I think Bronco has that job until he retires, no matter how putrid that offense looks. Coach Anae did a really good job adapting to Taysom Hill's "talents" and essentially just started running the football all day.

Sumlin locked up with A&M right after the regular season is done. USC interviewed and hired Sarkisian next day.

If the timeline is correct then USC had no chance to sit down with Sumlin at all.

It's called a telephone. You can communicate through to other people with this device without being in the same room as them.

Which in the end, really doesn't matter because USC did not want to promise Sumlin a contract before they got that far anyways.

Sarkisian or die :/

Apparently Oregeron is applying for the FAU job. Apparently Narduzzi is interested in the Wake Forest job. Mora is the obvious name when it comes to coaching candidates for Washington, but another name that should be mentioned is Doug Nussmeier. UCLA fired their RB coach.

@MattLeinartQB I think Sark is a great hire. I was with him for 4 of my 5 years at USC. Great recruiter, motivator and teacher!

Orgeron might want to try setting his sights a bit higher than FAU. I think he could get a job at a major conference (maybe Virginia?). With that said, I really think of the mid-major jobs across the country, FIU & FAU are actually decent jobs if you are a good recruiter.

I don't think a big school from a BCS conference would go after Orgeron, although I wouldn't rule it out. USC is the only place I could've seen him as the head coach in a big conference, because of his familiarity with the school and the people in the program. I don't think most bigger schools would take a chance on a guy who's over 50 like Orgeron and doesn't have a proven track record as a head coach. He coached well for 2/3rds of the season but hasn't shown he can do that consistently throughout multiple seasons.

I think the FAU job would be a good job for him because like you said he could recruit and he could do a good job bringing in talent to the program. On top of that since he coached at UM in the 80s he is somewhat familiar with the territory and he's a familiar face in South Florida to a lot people who remember him from that period. He could probably do a great job getting more kids from Dade to come up to FAU.

Well the staff will be a juggernaut on the WC from a recruiting standpoint.

Along with Tosh and Wilcox it looks as though they will be bringing in UCLA's O-Line coach Klemm and their DB coach who are both great recruiters as well.

They need to bring back Tee Martin

Edit:

Rumored staff as of now.

Lupoi
Klemm
D. Martin
Wilcox

If offered the job how does Mora say no? On campus facilities, $$$, football school, homegrown connection. What does UCLA offer UW doesn't? - @BrockHuard

Seattle talk radio is all in on this too. He was many people's (My buddy Dave especially) pick to take over instead of Sarkisian in the post [redacted] era.

I would love Jim Mora as the next UW coach. No more of this "let's try and win shootouts against Oregon" stuff, no more of a disconnect between Bellevue high and UW (Myles Jack all the way back to Steve Schilling and Taylor Mays), no more of this jersey of the week crap, just pure Purple and Gold, "All I Saw Was Purple", hard hitting Husky Football.

First off if you change your sig just white out Sarkisian.

My guess is Mora is priority #1 followed by Doug Nussmeier. Mora has always wanted the job. He's always bled Husky purple and been a connection to Don James also. The guy is one of those rarities too that would rather live in Seattle as opposed to LA. Can't say i blame him for that.

Taylor definitely didn't go to Bellvue.

My guess is Mora is priority #1 followed by Doug Nussmeier. Mora has always wanted the job. He's always bled Husky purple and been a connection to Don James also. The guy is one of those rarities too that would rather live in Seattle as opposed to LA. Can't say i blame him for that.
I can't change the sig until a new head coach is named. Jim Mora would be my choice, as well as yours. I don't know about Nussmeier, man. He didn't even call the plays here and bolted to Alabama.

You're right. O'Dea high school. My bad on that one. Still, a Seattle high school kid who went to SC.

Tim DeRuyter would be the absolute worst pick for this job of all the people being mentioned. He's winning off of McIntyre's players and for a defensive oriented coach, his defense sucks. Thanks, but stay in Fresno, buddy.

If UCLA picked up Mora this would make the Sark hiring a little better. I imagine Hundley would leave and Mazzone would get the nod at HC for UCLA.

Macintyre was at San Jose State, not Fresno State. DeRuyter is in his second season, so he's had two recruiting classes, but if you're saying he's winning because of the previous coach's players, then you're saying that he's winning with Pat Hill's players. Hill went 4-9 in his final season at Fresno State and 8-5 the two seasons before that. DeRuyter is 19-5 in two seasons.

I got those mixed up. I just looked at his tenure and for a defensive coach I'm not impressed with his defense. Kind of like Sumlin's offensive prowess being touted that was really all Klingsbury
