Course, they should have realized that Roh is not an LB, Cam Gordon is not a FS, and Obi Ezeh is worthless.
Anyways, if Brady Hoke gets the job he reportedly promised a top notch coaching staff (another thing Rod didn't have). Names linked with this staff are Scott Loeffler, Erik Campbell, Chuck Heater, Carwin Brown, and Vance Bedford; no definite links but all guys who have been mentioned. I know both Brown and Heater wanted to come back to Michigan the last 2 seasons.

See that's the thing. A top notch OC/DC/Position coaches are at least as important as who the head coach is. I don't care who you are as a coach, if you bring in crap coordinators, you aren't going to be as successful as you could be. Even Jim Harbaugh didn't have very good defenses at Stanford until this year when he hired the right guy. To me that's a point in Hoke's favor if Michigan can't get Harbaugh.

If Brady Hoke can put a staff like that together then he will definitely earn some points in my book.

Michigan offered Harbaugh $5.2 million per year, which would make him the second highest paid college coach in the country. However, he told U-M that he has three NFL offers for more than $6 million per year. 95/5 he takes the money and goes to the NFL. They are probably going to kick the tires on Les Miles. If that doesn't work out then it's likely going to be Hoke and he'll be bringing an "expensive" group of assistants.

what is funny though, is that Harbaugh has supposedly been telling NFL teams that he has a huge offer from Michigan and wants $7 million to go to the NFL

That's why I still say there's a 5% chance he comes here. He's been using both sides against each other to try and get the offer he wants.

Great, he brings in talent. He's not a good coach. With all the talent available to him, the fact that he can't consistently be atop the SEC is pathetic.

Michigan doesn't have talent or wins. They might wanna take one of them and go with it. Besides, the Big Ten is not the SEC and I think Richt would be served well by getting a fresh start somewhere. He's taken for granted at Georgia and I'm sure the constant talk about trying to replace him has to wear on him.

Richt has been in 1st place in the SEC East 4 times in 9 years.
Les Miles has been in 1st place in the SEC West 2 times in 6 years.

And the West is traditionally better than the East.

Ok, but 4 out of 9 times is still pretty solid.
Besides, you piss on Mark Richt when your school is supposedly looking at Brady Hoke?

What does Mark Richt have to do with Michigan? Nothing. He's not going to Michigan even if they offered him the job, so this "beggars can be choosers" ******** can stop now.

I happen to think Les Miles is a horrible coach.
Michigan would regret that one.

if only he oversigned and cut his players like Saban and Miles he'd finally win something down there.
Richt is kinda out of the blue isn't it? He's the head man at UGA still and not a hot name right now.

Nothing wrong with asking non-contributing scholarship players to take their skills elsewhere. A scholarship is just a one year option contract that keeps bad players around who shouldn't be on scholarship and only damage the program.

there have been more than enough guys who didn't want to leave who were asked to leave, basically having their scholarship pulled, so that the team could sign more players. That's about as shady as it gets. Not to mention the abuse of medical hardships to free up scholarship spots. The SEC's recruiting tactics are just a joke and a total unfair advantage that other conferences don't have or at least don't choose to follow.
