All he does is complain and says how he'd much rather be anywhere else other than at practice.

You guys had to love seeing the video of DeMeco Ryans owning Shockey. I know i did. BTW what was up with no Saints really coming to help Shockey, there were blue jerseys around Shockey within seconds. Is he not liked by the team, like in NY????

football fights are so vaginarific. Please, no one gets owned, they slap each others helmets and roll on the ground like a bunch of females before getting broken up.
Nice to see some REAL practices like that though, much more meaningful than normal practice IMO.

Good win. albeit pre-season, it was still a good warm-up.

Meh. No major injuries. That's all I worry about in preseason.

Meachem to return kicks?

However, if Meachem shows the coaching staff that he also can return kicks, then that might eliminate several players who are viewed primarily as return specialists, most notably Skyler Green and Courtney Roby.

Well it's official. Garrett Hartley will be out the first 4 games of the season.

Rookie S Chip Vaughn was put on IR. That means out of a draft class of 4 we had 2 guys that weren't put on IR.
Also, the Patriots cut TE Alex Smith who I think would be a nice receiving option for us esp. since he's more reliable than Buck Ortega.

Yea I wanted to see Chip out there I had high hopes. Also we just traded a 7th round pick for David Thomas from the Patriots so im not sure we will pick up another TE. But I also would have liked to see Alax Smith with us and we could have kept our pick.

Scott Fujita will be a UFA next season so I was looking at some of the linebackers that should be available next season and the list is many.
http://www.footballsfuture.com/2010/fa/lb.html
We could potentially shore up at least one LB spot during FA as well as locking up Darren Sharper for another two years and securing PT.

I think we probably draft our future OLB - granted, there's one worth taking depending on where we're picking. With that said, I'd love a Kirk Morrison, Thomas Howard or Derrick Johnson on defense.
Scott Shanle's play has shut my ass up, however, and I don't see him losing his spot anytime soon.

Yes Shanle has been having a good year, that much is for sure. I see us taking full advantage of our picks this year given the whole scenario that was last year's draft.
