Wisconsin will have a down year from how well we've done recently, but I'm sure we'll still make it in.

So, Arkansas just beat Oklahoma, which I say is a pretty good win on their resume. That will probably be the 4th SEC team (maybe 5 with LSU, but that will be a shame if this conference gets 5 schools).

Indeed, big win for Arkansas, another team I was keeping an eye on.

Also, can we avoid the rivalry trash-talk and what not? I'd prefer this to stick to the topic of seedings, rankings, etc. There is a seperate thread for all things college basketball.

If anyone else would like to post their own, please do so as well.

Probably yes. The win over Michigan arguably has already put them ahead of Northwestern or Minneosta, but I'm being a bit cautious at this point. Both are a bit of an enigma at this point.

South Carolina wins at #19 Baylor. Devan Downey is one of the most underrated players in the country.

Villanova may very well work themselves back to the bubble like last year. The team's alright but they struggle big time with more athletic teams.

Dante Cunningham has been very solid but they get away with him too much, Scottie Reynolds is too streaky to help the team scoring consistantly though he is a great leader, and guys like Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes show flashes of brilliance but have yet to develop consistency. The bench is no more than 3-4 deep and has no real size since Casiem Drummond transferred.

They'll be a lot more fun to watch and more athletic next year, but for the time being Fisher and maybe Reynolds if he's hot and teams don't try and take him away can score and create their own shot against better teams. Cunningham just end up taking elbow jumpers, Stokes needs guys to create three point opportunities for him, and the role players like Redding, Anderson, Clark, and Pena need other guys to create shots for them. I get scared every time they handle the ball. They'll beat up on worse teams that let them spread them out get dribble penetration and open looks and allow Cunningham to seal inside, but I just don't have much confidence they'll beat any of the better teams unless somebody is unconscious from behind the arc. They also foul way, way too much, and not good fouls either.

Honestly I'm not impressed by Villanova at all this year so far, they, along with Florida, are really getting in on name recognition so far.

Nice win by South Carolina, probably puts them on the bubble but not over at this point, beating Baylor is nice but it's not Oklahoma. There's really no other quality wins. Then again Arizona just lost their 4th game so they are slipping.

3-0 for UWM in the Horizon League!!!! Unfortunantly, our wins have came against some of the bottom feeders like Wright State and Detroit. Our confrence is going to Butler most likely, maybe Cleveland State who obviously beat Syracuse. So there is the long waited Horizon League report from Yodachuseph.

I don't currently have any of those teams making the tournament, only Arizona is that close.

Nice win by Minnesota over Ohio State, that's two big wins with a loss to Michigan State.

some people had BC on the bubble, I'd say sounds about right but NOW with a win AT #1 UNC I'd say they have a good chance to make it from the ACC. I could see 7 from the ACC and maybe an 8th scraping in depending on Maryland finding something to go with my least favorite player in the NCAA, Vasquez.

ACC:
North Carolina
Wake Forest
Duke
Clemson (Unless the do what they did after starting 18-0 a few years ago)
Miami
Florida State
Boston College
Maryland (VaTech could possibly take this spot to but they have looked mediocre at BEST)

Yup. I'm waiting on the Arizona-Stanford game. I'm tempted to drop th e SEC back to 3 with Tennessee and Kentucky both losing. Just an awful conference this year.

So you're talking about leaving either one out of the tournament or dropping one of the lesser teams on the basis that those two lost? Tennessee will never do anything in a tournament given their style of play but they're getting in.

Louisville played their best game of the year and it still took a prayer on their home floor to beat us.

Kentucky has already lost 4 games. If they were any other team than Kentucky they would probably already be out. Outside of West Virginia they have no impressive wins. There isn't a single impressive team in the SEC, Tennessee is probably the only lock, and I say that out of process of elimination.

The bottom feeders of the SEC are easily the worst of all the 'BCS' conferences (Ole Miss without Warren, Mississippi St., Auburn, Georgia, Alabama to an extent) but the top group while no elite teams is solid.

People weren't even mentioning Arkansas as a potential tournament team and they beat #7 Texas tonight. The SEC is 4-5 against the Big East with wins over Georgetown, West Virginia and Marquette. 3 of the Big East wins came against the Mississippi schools.

I actually had Arkansas in and took them off assuming they would lose to Texas. Guess that proves what they say about assumptions...

Also, great job Boston College. You work your way in by beating North Carolina and fall right out by losing to ******* Harvard. Harvard!?!?!

New #1 as well (Duke)

Losing to Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Auburn by a combined 45 points will do that to you. I was never very sold, but it is pretty amazing to think a team that bad somehow beat Oklahoma and Texas.

The Mountain West is the most underrated conference in the country. For all of the love that C-USA and WCC get, I feel the MWC is the best of those 3. Heck, the MWC is better than the SEC this year and the argument isn't that tough.
