- Soph. WR DeVier Posey. Not as certain he will do well, but he should step into a more prominent role this year without Robiskie or Hartline. Along with Ray Small and Dane Sanzenbacher, should form a fairly potent 1-2-3. Posey is really the only one with #1 potential. Someone to watch, but more due to the importance of his role and his upside. Has yet to show too much.

- Jr. CB Chimdi Chekwa. He may be the guy with the hardest job out of any, replacing Malcolm Jenkins. Chekwa is a very good player who has flashed terrific potential in his first two seasons. I am confident he'll be a good player, though there is no way he can live up to his predecessor.

- Jr. DE Thaddeus Gibson. The first pick in last year's spring game. Gibson is very quick off the ball, fairly strong, and is the team's most dangerous pass-rusher. This could be his breakout year. He may not be the freak size/strength/athleticism that Vernon Gholston was, but he may be the better natural player. In the Aaron Maybin mold.

- Jr. DT/DE Cameron Heyward. A player with extreme potential at the next level that has shown flashes of dominance at Ohio State. He's a 3-4 DE prospect to the NFL and a very good one at that. He is big, strong, agile, and a student of the game. Has NFL bloodlines. He made a big impact in his Freshman year, his Sophomore year, and should pick up where he left off this year. Has the potential to be a very good player this year and an even better player at the next level.
I agree on Posey. He is going to be a stud.

I hope Small stays at #3. Ray never lived up to his billing as the team's second Ted Ginn. Still, he remains a very good punt returner and a solid deep option. Dane Sanzenbacher has kind of a watered down Anthony Gonzalez skill-set. That being said, he is reliable and should make a fine #2 at the college level. Posey will, most likely, have to shoulder the #1 spot. That is why he's a player to watch in 2009, his dramatic change of role in just his sophomore season. Not as confident about him as I am Mike Adams or Chekwa entering the starting lineup.

I don't see Sanzenbacher as ever being anything besides a decent #3. His skill-set just isn't advanced enough to be a consistent outside threat.

Sergio Kindle from Texas. He's the real deal.

In high school he made the starting quarterback of a rival high school quit directly after he played them.

Is he still at a LB spot or did he move to DE?

He moved to DE last year. He's too proven to be in this thread anyway.

I'll go with a few guys:

Roy Helu Jr- Nebraska RB- The guy is really good and should shine being the starter in 09.

Tony Pike Cincy QB- A big kid who showed what he could do last year. He should prosper in the very good Bearcat offense

Mardy Gilyard Cincy WR- See abouve with Pike. He will be the beneficiary of alot of those passes. A true playmaker.

Kendall Wright Baylor WR- He should put up big numbers as a soph in a very underrated Baylor offense. Briles has them going in the right direction, and Wright is a big reason.

Agreed wicket, but I would still say that on a national level, the Baylor offense is an underrated one. Most people would list teams like Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, & Florida. I think Baylor has that capability this season.

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse.

Will be starting as a redshirt freshman. We will be running a spread offense so he should have some nice inflated stats:) . Completely over the top delivery but he releases it suprisingly quick.

We got Mike Williams (WR) back this year after he missed all of last year due to academics so Nassib will have a legit NFL reciever to throw to.
