Eh it really is just another protest the hero album. Its good but has the same issue I had with their last album, every song sounds very similar.

Hmm, not sure if I agree with that, or at least how much I do since I see your point. I wonder if that has to do with the almost complete lack of screaming/growling in the album. I also noticed that on a lot of songs he sings in the same way.
Maybe I do kind of agree with you, but I don't think it's a big barrier to my opinion on the album. Amazing albums require some sort of transcendence and overall awesomeness, but an album I like needs to make me dig a chunk of the songs from it and be able to like the rest. Scurrilous did the latter for me.

And I agree with that second paragraph that the best albums have a distinguished sound, but PTH cds tend to blur together for me, I only cant tell like three songs apart on Fortress.

Also amazing day for music. SOAD has a US tour date rumored for May, and Btbam has another album ( possibly EP) coming out in April. Also, Scale the summit, periphery, and Fair to midland ( top three band for me so go check them out because they are not hard core but they are amazing and need notice) are touring starting in March. I am so ******* happy.

Oh yeah, on the BTBAM thing:
http://www.facebook.com/notes/betwee...50106718403189
1) No more Victory Records. Nice.
2) It (The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues) is being called an LP. It’s a half hour of music, so it’s still EP-ish for BTBAM, but whatever.
Also, they're touring with Job for a Cowboy and The Ocean. Unfortunately, this is happening nowhere near Florida :(

Apparently its supposed to be pretty heavy as well ( new BTBAM cd). Rodgers said some are going to be surprised by how heavy it is. Sweet.

I like that Rodgers has more clean vocals in that six minute demo, the guy has way to amazing of a voice to not use it more often.

Cover art for the new BTBAM record.
Track listing is:
01 – “Specular Reflection”
02 – “Augment Of Rebirth”
03 – “Lunar Wilderness”
The 3 song album will be 30 minutes in length and is expected to be the first in a two part series of conceptually linked outings

I am so happy Boston is one of the first stops on the tour. Pretty cool they'll be with the ocean, havent gotten to check them out live yet. This is shaping up to be an amazing year in music.
