I agree with you that people are coming out of nowhere stating their cardinal fans now, but thats what happens when you dont win for a few decades. However, you're completely wrong on the NFC Championship crowd. I saw VERY few eagle fans there. I would guess about 10-5%, closer to 5. That place was loud as any stadium in the NFL. Overall though I'm fine with new fans, as long as they stick around during sub .500 seasons.

Yeah, I spoke to people who were at the game and there were very few Eagles fans.

I didn't see the game I was listening to it in my car and the announcers were talking about the massive amount of eagles fans. There were times the eagles would make a play and the crowd sounded as loud as it did for the cards.

Either way, Tampa is going to have a huge majority of steelers fans. We pack every teams stadium in the regular season, tampa is gonna look like Detroit.

27-17 Steelers
A healthy Troy P and a killer pass rush makes this game a Steeler victory.

There are/were 30-35,000 die hards who turned up no matter what. Since UOP has opened the Cards have sold out every game. So I think you're going over board when you say that the fan base didn't exist.

The lions sold out a bunch of games too. That's what happens with a new stadium.

Again, they barely sold out a playoff game. That's pathetic. Even when the team gets to host it's first playoff game in years they couldn't find fans to go. Then a few weeks later the place sells out in 6 minutes. But if you asked anyone inside they were all life long cards fans.

Random, didn't know where to post so I guess here's the best place.

My sister gets to go to the Super Bowl breakfast with her BF Saturday morning. Kind of mad 'cause she gets to meet the players, and some other guys like Warrick Dunn and Drew Brees, who just happen to be two of my favorite players. She's going to get my Brees jersey signed though so it's cool.

Anyone else lucky enough to go to one of these before, or anyone else going this year?

I went to the NFL Expirence last season and I had the chance to meet Adrian Peterson, Joe Montana, Steve Smith(Panther), Braylon Edwards, Vernon Davis, and Jerome Bettis. I just wished Jerome Bettis would've signed his book that I brought for him to sign.

Like a few guys have already said, I'm rooting for the Cards like most people who aren't Steelers fans are probably doing.

But I see nothing but a Steelers win.

I am more excited for this Super Bowl than I have been for any since the Packers were in one.

-I have a strong opinion of who i want to win.
-I am a big Bruce Springsteen fan.
-have a good superbowl party planned.

Go Cards!

I just won $140 before the game even starts. :) There was a bet where you could bet on which team Obama will choose if they ask him that question during halftime. Little did Vegas know that yesterday someone asked him already and he said he wants the Steelers to win which was pretty obvious from the beginning considering he was the Senator of Illinois. I went online to see if the bet still existed and it did so I put all my money that I had in the account which was $185 on him choosing the Steelers. It will pay out $140 profit. I checked today and the bet is no longer there. :D $500 or $1000 is the max you can make for one bet so I should have deposited more but I was too worried that the messiah would change his mind and screw me over. I will be pissed if he does.

Wow seriously? Nice come up man, I knew for awhile that Barrack liked the Steelers, I would of put 1000 down or asked someone to borrow it immediately.

But wait, if you deposited 185$, and won 140$, didn't you lose money?

140 profit, so he ended up with $325.

Well, it's the night before the game, so I guess I'll add in my prediction:

I think the Cardinals will pull it off.

On first thought, you might think they will try and spread the Steelers defense out offensively. However, I think we might see them utilize a lot of seven-man (maybe even eight?) protections to protect Warner so that he'll get the ball to Fitz and Boldin.

Also, the Cardinals' front seven might give the Steelers' offensive line some of their own fits.

Obviously the Steelers can win this game. They have a great defense and an offense that can make the necessary plays to win games. I respect them like heck, as a franchise and a team.

I find myself a lot less excited knowing the Falcons could have been here as well. However, I'll be geared up once I get some delicious food down and it gets closer.

If I'm the Cards, I'm getting it in Quan's hands right away.

Just remember, Steve Breaston has a history of putting up big numbers in big games (well, in college anyway, but I had to say it so if it happens I can say I pointed it out).

2003
Freshman vs USC-Rose Bowl
10 touches, 106 total yards
2/21 rushing, 6/61 receiving, 1/24 kick returns, 1/0 punt returns

2004
Sophmore vs Texas-Rose Bowl
13 touches, 315 total yards, 1 TD
3/15 rushing, 3/77, 1 TD receiving, 6/221 kick returns, 1/2 punt returns

2005
Junior vs Nebraska-Alamo Bowl
13 touches, 224 yards
1/-2 rushing, 1/8 receiving, 4/146 kick returns, 7/72 punt returns

2006
Senior vs USC-Rose Bowl
11 touches, 167 yards, 1 TD
7/115, 1 TD receiving, 4/52 kick returns

I'm not saying, I'm just saying. ;)

I still think the Steelers are going to win though.

LaMarr would shut Breaston down himself.

I am just loving this Cardinal lovefest. Seriously, get off their nuts. I know you guys want to go for the underdog, but seriously, they are terrible on the road and benifit from a terrible division. I am talking to you ESPN.

Since I don't see any way in hell the Cards win this game, I'll go with the Steelers in a massive blowout. I'm thinking 41-10 with LaMarr Woodley being the MVP (because he's an amazing human being as others have pointed out).
