In New Jersey colleges, a lot of programs include teaching credentials as part of the mandatory classes.

Well it's not that easy over here either. The course takes about a year (part time), and it does run you about 3-4k. But after, you're a certified teacher, at any level.

I want to major in history, but if I do that, I pretty much lock up my faith of coming back to my high school as a teacher and coach (which wouldn't be bad, but the pay sucks at private schools).

What is exactly sports management? I've thought about that, but I really have no idea what it is.

Id rather major in something I like rather than kick myself for choosing something I dont because of the pay. You only live once, do you want to live with a miserable job that pays slightly better?

I'm a Mechanical Engineering major. It's alright, there are some aspects that are fun, but for the most part it's about as fun as getting raped in the ass.
It's really a shame that we don't focus more on CAD programs... Freshman year we had a class solely for the use of Solidworks. We designed parts, built machines, it was a lot of fun... i wish we had more of that.

Its a wide variety.

Sports management has many different facets. Sports managers can handle the financial aspects of an athletic organization, create marketing strategies for special events, direct athletics in a school setting or help athletes negotiate contracts or sponsorship and endorsement deals. Other responsibilities may involve public relations, sporting goods sales, facility management, athletic fund raising or sports broadcasting. Those who focus on the sports medicine side of sports management will help athletes stay healthy through nutritional, fitness and psychological well-being.

basically a lot of it would help me become an AD or some type of Agent i guess....

I have a double but they are in completely different directions. Mine are economics and cinematography so now I have two different fields to choose from. I like what MSN reported not too long about the 5 best marketable degrees as well as the 5 worst. The 5th best was economics and the 5 worst was cinematography.
I dont know how you do finance. It sucks. haha

Being a teacher in Texas is not easy. It requires a decent amount of work and money.

I am going to receive my bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism at Arizona State University. I will also be received a minor in Business. My goal is to go into Marketing or Ad Sales. I am also the president of the Society of Professional Journalists at ASU, so if anyone has any journalism questions, feel free to ask. =D

Editing/Directing/Screenwriting/Journalism
Narrowed it down into those areas, I'll decide which way I wanna go when I get up to Columbia next year.

French and German, but the system is different here. We decide our major before we even get on campus.

i am an Engineer. ....i also have a math degree and an Architecture degree. 1st i am also going back to school for a computer science degree, then i am going to Grad school for Engineering and computer science.
even after all of this and the great money you make(and i could make a lot more if i moved to a bigger city, 6 figures more) and i do enjoy designing bridges, skyscrapers, and highways but i still miss something. so the point i am trying to make is do what you want and enjoy because you always have time to go back and if you do something you enjoy you can still make money because you will be the best at it if you enjoy it and if you are the best you will get paid, plus if you enjoy it there would be no stress and no regrets.

No me gusta para nada estudiarlo, pero ahora es necesario que la gente estudie el espanol. Me gusta la grammatica y el vocabulario, pero el programa aqui es muy basado en la literatura, y a causa de eso es mierda.
I really like my journalism minor though. I cover two teams for the school paper. It's a good time.
