<H1>Titans to host 2 free agents

By PAUL KUHARSKY
Staff Writer
The Titans will entertain two free agents Tuesday, the first of two or three sets of visits this week, General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said.
But he wouldn’t say who they are.
“I think there are some players out there that can help us, we’re going to start having visits tomorrow,” Reinfeldt said, indicating the guests aren’t running backs or defensive linemen. “We’re going to start having players come in to visit and start filling in some free agents, visiting and getting to know them a little better, seeing if we can find the right fits for us.”
Reinfeldt said there will be “two or three sets” of free agents through this week.
Agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents free agent receiver Donte Stallworth from Philadelphia and free agent cornerback Travis Fisher from St. Louis said he would not comment on plans for the two players.

Wow, Stallworth is a bad idea. He will be this years version of David Givens, you remember him dont you. He caught..well, what was it, a ton of... wait, he only caught eight balls last year!

Well...we lost out on Kevin Carter. He signed with the Bucs, apparently because we failed to return his agent's inquiries or something (and it sounds like we were Carter's first choice but we dropped the ball).
We're supposedly bringing in Stallworth and Travis Fisher soon.
I dislike the idea of signing either of them. Stallworth's got the speed element (which we need) but he's never proven that he can stay healthy. Fisher can't stay healthy either; and even when he is, he's a borderline starter at best.
I don't see how either of these guys would fill team needs. We'd still need another WR and a starting-calibur CB.
The Titans have been WAY too frugal with their money this offseason. I guess they're hoping to sign some of those June 1st cuts or something for a cheaper price...

Travis Fisher is TERRIBLE. I give a big no to him.
As for Stallworth, I wouldn't mind signing him, but not at the price he's wanting. There's no way in hell I throw that much guaranteed money at a guy like Stallworth that's not even a true go-to WR.

Whats up fellaz I'm new to the board, and i'm a long time Oilers/Titans fan. Just thought i share a little info.
Yesterday Travis fisher did visit, and Stallworth came in last night for a visit with the team doday. Tomorrow Domanic Rhodes, and Nick Harper will be in for a visit, and Friday Ken Hamlin, and Kelley Washington will be in.
I think if we land at least 2 of these guys we are in good shape to focus on like 2 needs for the upcoming draft rather than 4 or 5.
Lookin forward to chatin with you fellaz

I like the idea of signing Rhodes to help lighten the load for LenDale. Rhodes has proven that he can contribute as a backup/situational RB off the bench and as a spot-starter (in the event of injury). I also like Nick Harper and think he'd be much better than T. Fisher or J. Fletcher; however, I'm curious to see how he'd handle Schwartz's schemes (as opposed to the Cover-2).
I would be ecstatic if we signed Hamlin. Why??? Because that would mean the definitive end of the Lamont Thompson era!!! Fans (and LT haters) UNITE!!!
