I would hate for money to be the thing stopping us. Why have all the cap space then? You can still save 5 million by cutting Culpepper. Any team should be able to get around the cap, it should not be an issue.

Basically, your looking at two separate 30+ million guaranteed contracts.

Mortensen also said that Denver doesn't necessarily want a QB back as well which bodes well for us.

Edit - This may also be a chance for us to acquire Jason Campbell.

I read on teh rotoworld that Washington offered Campbell to another team for a second rounder today. So could you imagine a draft of

1A - Jason Smith, LT - Baylor
1B - Peria Jerry, DT - Ole Miss
2nd-Jason Campbell, QB - Redskins

I said it in the other thread, Redskins don't care about draft picks. They'll ship away as many as it takes as long as they get what they want now.
