What a surprise. Senile Al asking way too much for his players. The only way Moss plays for another team next year is if the Raiders cut him.

Senile Al, Just because you got fleeced in the Randy Moss trade doesn't mean other teams will make the same mistake that you made. Especially with Randy Moss skills deteriating.

Its funny to listen to what goes on in the Raider organization. You never hear any stuff like what goes on with Al Davis in any other team.

Realistically they didnt get fleeced. They traded a guy they probably would have cut anyway, who isnt with the Vikes anymore anyway and in the end a reciever who cant catch. It's not unrealistic to say that Oakland won that trade given that Moss was worth a lot of money to them off the field and no one involved has actually produced much of anything on the field.

What fantastic thing did Moss give them off the field? Some jersey sales? Does that offset, the suckage he ozzed on the field?

Default uhhh...

He's just saying neither team ended out on top of that trade. Harris was getting passed by on the depth chart [or was about to be in the next year] and Williamson is bad. Moss produced his first year in Oakland and than his bad attitude [last season] and bad health [2 seasons ago]. The bottom line is Moss is worth more today than the combined value of Williamson/Harris at this point, although at the end of the day I think you can safely say that both teams "lost" with this trade.

And whats wrong with asking for the moon? Sometimes you get it....just ask Nate Clements, Wes Welker and Leonard Davis.

What's wrong with asking for the moon in this case is that the Raiders are not in an advantageous position and can't afford to make ridiculous demands. Everybody knows that Moss doesn't want to be in Oakland and that Al Davis probably doesn't want Moss either anymore. Sure, you could force Moss to stay in Oak but everybody also knows that when he's unhappy he won't put any effort forth on the field, so what's the point? The best option for the Raiders is to send Moss away to send a message and to also get anything they can in return to help the team. At this point they should just be trying to salvage anything they can.

These comments, of course, are not at all effected by the fact that the Packers are in the running for Moss either.

As a Raider fan and Al Davis #1 supporter, I hope he doesnt blow it by asking too much for Randy. Hes getting old, his attitude sucks, he doesnt even try half the time, he has injury problems and he may never be the same player he was, even if he does get motivated. Calvin Johnson is the best WR prospect ever and we're probly gonna regret it if we pass on him, even if Russell turns out to be a good QB. We cant pick Calvin if we dont move Randy and I think we need to take what we can get for him and move on and stop hoping that he is gonna turn his career around. If we can get Aaron Rodgers for him, I'd be real happy and we should take that. A 1st rounder seems like a stretch, maybe were holding out for the Pats 28th overall? Sure that'd be nice. I honestly might rather have Aaron Rodgers. We need a QB bad and unless we use the top pick on one or trade for one, it'll be hard to get a good one. So that means trade Randy for one or pass on CJ for one. So which of the two receivers is it more important that we get? For me, its Calvin by far. Picking him will pay huge dividends for years. Too many question marks with Randy.
