We be talkin Wif Jared Gaither..
http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/27/rave...-an-extension/
yeah... I'm lovin this. Looks like Ozzie really wants to solidify the bookend tackles after we got Oher. Hopefully they can work something out before training camp.
Biscoitti also said Suggs would be a Raven for life, so hopefully they can get him locked up as well. I want Gaither, Oher, and Suggs locked up longterm. And is Ngata a RFA next year??

I think this is the ass backwards way to do this! GODDAMIT OZZIE!
Let me explain, no one on this site loves Jared Gaither more than I and wants him here BUT......after this season Jared Gaither is a RFA, Ngata is a UFA, lock up Ngata now and get Gaither before next training camp!!!
If I had to rank them in order for importance to get re-signed I'd say...
1a. Ngata (As I said UFA more of a chance to lose him after this season)
1b. Gaither (he is THE LT on this team despite what some of you may think)
2. Suggs (If he's lost we can replace him easier than the other 2)

I would hate to put Suggs that far down though. He's taken the tag alright and he's been a good sport during this whole contract situation. Did we really give Ngata only a 4 year contract?? I'd hope it'd be a 5 year, seeing as he was the 12th pick overall.

Yea it should be 5, but I remember talk last year that he only had 1 more year under contract. Hopefully I'm wrong and he has this year and next year under contract.

I am almost positive Ngata has two years left on his deal.

There was a website somebody postes on NFLDC a long time ago that have every player and contract details but I forget the site. That would be so very helpful in this situation.

Ohh thank god. I was really thinking we'd lose one of Gaither, Sugge or Ngata. But since Ngata has got two more years left Gaither and Suggs should be our only priorities. WE NEED THEM LONG-TERM!!

I see what you are saying ERU but i would rather us sign Gaither first. His value is gonna go up in one year much like how we should of signed Suggs before this season. But the real smart thing would be get both done this training camp. But if i had to choose which id rather right now id say Gaither for the long term money savings potential
thanks god about ngata, good find mateys

You have no evidence to say this.

He's not even a Ravens fan, nor does he have any idea how good Gaither is. Just another guy going by the big names as usual lol.

It's been said on baltimoreravens.com that Oher will be competing for the RT spot.

I think all actual Ravens' fans realize this, it is the outsiders that don't understand the greatness that is Jared "The Big Steal" Gaither.
