DBA ultra from Amazon, use the checkout code Olympics and save 5 dollars.
20 dollar case, that is soft on the inside and hard outer shell, and thin.

I've been trying to find ringtones cause i'm too lazy to make one myself. I've had my 5 for four months now and i'm still rocking the default ringtone.
I really don't know **** about apps but if you're into the social networking apps, Vine is pretty neat. It's pretty much instagram but with 4 second videos that you can record in stop motion style, or consecutively. It's pretty neat if you skip over all the videos of people messing with their pets.

If you guys are looking for ringtones phonezoo.com is a solid one. You take music straight from your computer and can make them ringtones for free.

Is there a way to get ringtones without involving a computer?

I'm pretty sure there's an app that let's you convert your music in your library to ring tones.

Why can't we save gifs on our phone? Is there an app that allows us to do that?

Nvm, I found it. Download gifbook from the appstore. It's a free app, it will upload all your downloaded gifs and you can view them there.

I'm really liking this F&F6 game. Brings back many memories of playing Gran Turismo on my PS2.

I'm addicted to family feud. I play it every day.
Is there anyway we can delete all the crappy apps that come with the phone without jailbreaking it? I've learned to hate the mail app, I have no use for the weather app, newstand, and compass. I want to delete them. Right now I just put them all in a folder so I won't have to deal with them but I rather just get rid of them completely.
I don't want to jailbreak my phone though. I actually prefer the closed environment.

no, you'd have to jailbreak to remove any apple standard apps.

It's so annoying. It's just crap that's wasting space on the phone. I don't want to jailbreak the phone though bc from my understanding, when I do that, I open myself up to attacks that the closed system prevents? I'm not much of a techy so I prefer the closed environment to protect me from my own stupidity.

not true, you can still use the normal app store, your phone is still, virtually, identical. i'm not aware of any evidence (for either phone OS) that jailbreaking makes it demonstrably less secure. and, honestly in some cases, i wouldn't be surprised if it were more secure, since the rom makers generally update far faster to 0-day bugs.
you could certainly, depending on the rom, go download some third party apps, but it's relatively easy to avoid by simply not doing that.

I have to look this up and find out what's involved. Maybe I should jailbreak my phone then. Does it effect my contract with my provider if I jailbreak it?

nope, just find a good, easy guide to follow, because if you mess up, you can brick the phone. it's not a hard process, and i'm not aware of anyone (even the completely tech-clueless) who has managed to brick their device, but it can happen.
the only thing to keep in mind is that applying any new apple updates will revert the break, so it's important to keep in mind that any future updates will come with the decision, "is this worth it now, or should i wait until the rom i'm using has a new break out for the updated version?"

It also nullifies the warranty you have on your phone which is really the only reason I saw to not jailbreak my phone. Once my warranty was up on my previous Iphone I went ahead and jailbroke it immediately, and never regretted doing so.
Only know unlocking your phone is illegal now (-__-)which comes pretty standard with a lot of jailbreaks so if youre worried about that then make sure whichever one you choose isn't also unlocking your phone. At the time that was another reason why I jailbroke my phone so I could get out of my contract with ******* at&t.

that's not *entirely* true. essentially the EFF still holds that a cell phone unlock (by a consumer) has nothing to do with the DMCA, and the fact that it's no longer exempted doesn't necessarily mean that it's illegal. granted, it hasn't been tested yet, but i'd tend to think the EFF is in the right.
jailbreaking itself still has a full DMCA exemption.

I tried doing some following up on the issue when my roommate informed me about it, and I really couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Basically BBD, jailbreak your iphone unless youre worried about the warranty.
