Buy an ipod touch.

I was big time anti-ipod until I got a touch, but it has been one of the best purchases I've ever made. If I wanted something soley for playing music I would still stay away from ipods, but the ipod touch is a great product.

I have a zune and an iPod touch that I got as a gift. As a strictly mp3 player I like my zune 10 times better. My ipod is fun because of the apps and the web browser, but my zune is much better as a strictly music player for me.

The biggest problem I always had with ipods was battery life. If I didnt use it for awhile it would be dead the next time I tried to use it. With my zune I once left it for a few months and it was still at full battery.

Also I hate Itunes and Apples customer service. I have been there a couple of times to get some help with my ipod and they just leave me frustrated. My video ipod crapped out on me after 1.5-2 years so I took it in. They guy just looks at it and says "oh yeah, a certain percentage of all the hard drives from the factory will fail." I ask if there is anything they can do and they say I could buy a new one. I went and directly bought a zune and havent had problems since.

I love my iPod...only real problem is that the headphones that come with the pod always suck and break after very little wear and tear.

I've got an Ipod Touch (phone without the phone) and it's a brilliant machine. I'd probably only advocate it if you could afford the larger storage capacity and were a torrent ***** like me though.

I'll be honest, this is the one definite good thing about Apple. If it died after 1.5-2 years, you buy the Apple Care and get a new one for free. When it happened with my laptop, the Genius told me to do that.

I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be after having my Apple cherry popped. Steve Jobs was real gentle and concerned with what my needs were.

I went to the Apple store here in town and bought the 120GB iPod Classic. We'll see how Apple delivers.

I'm looking to play my IPOD in my car, but what is the best FM radio transmitter thingy out right now? My friend has a iTrip, and it seems to work find, but reading some customer reviews made me a little scared to buy it. Anybody know which one would be the best bet?

My suggestion is go to a Best Buy and have them wire it into your car via the FM Transmitter. Costs the same as a plug in FM Transmitter, but much better quality, and it can't get stolen/broken or anything. This is what I did

I bought an ITouch and I should've just bought a regular IPod because it never gets internet and I only use it to listen to music

What are the two cars? Is there a tape deck or an easily accessible aux input?

I would try to get something that is hardwired into the car because I really hate those over the air FM ones. I went through 5 or 6 and not one of them really gave me the clarity or ease of use that I wanted. There was always static and trying to find clear channels. Eventually I just got a hardwired solution for like $110 that change songs and playlists with the cars factory controls and I'm much happier now.

I definitely agree with this. Though I don't have a Blackberry.

I never download music. I usually just look up what I want on Youtube or listen to the radio.

I'm not a fan of either. I have a lot of music but when I go places I don't usually have time to listen to music anyways. The only time I'll use an MP3 player is when my band is doing a show and we need some music to set the mood for our show. I have a 4GB Phillips MP3 player that is almost perfect for that. I can make playlists, or just shuffle. If I had to choose between Zune or IPod, I would pick Zune, because they are much cheaper and about the same quality. An Itouch just wouldn't be my thing...

Im going to be getting a 120gb classic soon. I have too much music for my little 2gb ipod I got a few years back (holds around 350 and I am over 1000 on my itunes), so the classic will give me a lot of space for my music and videos. Im passing on the itouch, compared to the classic it has so much less space, and the only advantage to the itouch is that it has internet.

If anyone is looking for a classic right now, bestbuy has them on sale for $225 online.

Just got a 16 GB 4th Gen. Nano. First time I ever tried an MP3, usually just carried around a ****load of CDs. I got it about a month ago, imported my CDs, and am adding more as I go. I just reached half way with the space, and its just music right now, but I plan on adding some videos and getting some draft crap put on it. But so far I've had absolutely no problems with it and it gets the job done for me, since I mostly just listen to music anyway. But there is no way I'll be able to fill it up with 16 GBs of music, so that is why I'm planning on adding other stuff. I can't see how anyone would need anything more than 32 GBs, as that is an insane amount of crap, but I guess I'm just a simple type of person.

Question... How do you delete the games that came with the ipod, or is there no way to do so?

I just reached half way with the space, and its just music right now, but I plan on adding some videos and getting some draft crap put on it. But so far I've had absolutely no problems with it and it gets the job done for me, since I mostly just listen to music anyway. But there is no way I'll be able to fill it up with 16 GBs of music, so that is why I'm planning on adding other stuff. I can't see how anyone would need anything more than 32 GBs, as that is an insane amount of crap, but I guess I'm just a simple type of person.
I definitely wont use all 120gb on just music, but videos too. I just like having the extra space, and for the price why not.

mostly about static, not being able to find a good channel, and that it drains the ipod like crazy.

I haven't added any videos yet, and I can only assume they take up more space that music, but even still, 120 GB can hold an insane amount of both. How much did it cost? I never even looked into something like that...

I have a Zune and an iPhone. I prefer the Zune and voted that way. I should have voted other as my old Creative Labs Zen Vision M was easily the best of the three.
