Who's the best runner to play QB in college?
I like Tebow the best. He runs between the tackles and scores an obnoxious amount of running TD's. I don't know of any QB that even touches Tebow's 23 rushing TD's in one season.

I was gonna make a poll that included Vince Young, Vick, Pat White, Tommie Frazier and maybe a couple of other guys, but I messed it up. Stupid not being able to edit in a poll...

I would say Vick. He was an incredible weapon and leader at Virginia.

Although not as good as the other names mentioned, Antwaan Randle El was one of the most exciting scrambling quarterbacks I've ever seen.

I'm just going to say now that it is NOT Tebow, unless you want a QB who can run it in from 5 yards out.

Tebow is on pace to score over 50 career rushing TD's. Name another QB that even touches that. He has over 2,000 career rushing yards, so don't try to say that all his runs are short runs. Did I mention he does it in the SEC?

Comparing two current college QBs career totals
Player A
6,159 passing yards, 67 TDs/11 INTs, 65.8 comp. %
2,037 rushing yards, 43 TDs
Player B
9,214 passing yards, 72 TDs/28 INTs, 65.1 comp %
2,235 rushing yards, 32 TDs
Tebow does have company in today's college football statistically

I was just pointing out that Tebow isn't by his lonesome when it comes to current college players and their running abilities. Brad Smith is no doubt in the top five of all time running QBs and unfortunately his name isn't one of the first ones that comes up when this topic is debated. Just look at this thread alone, he was the 6th QB brought up, and that came from you. Alot of that comes from Missouri's lack of publicity during his days, but statistically he is in a league that very few can come ven close to touching.

Tebow is the best goalline runner as a QB.
Vick and Smith are the best pure runners.
Pat White doesn't touch Vick or Smith.

white has more total rushing yds, a higher ypc (6.5 vs 5.4), more rushing tds than smith

If we wants stats, check colin kaepernick, with two more years of college eligebility remaining.
5024 passing yards, 41 td's 10 int
1723 rushing yards, 23 td's (6.5 yards/rushing attempt)
This guy should have proper improvement over the next two years, he could end up with numbers like 10000+ passing yards about 90 passing td's 5000 rushing yards with about 50 rushing td's
Not saying he is the greatest runner to play the game but it is more meant as a point that stats dont say enough. I do really really like kaepernick though.
