Show me one post where I gloated.
Get real. I haven't gloated. We destroyed, you. Yes. But the only thing I have done is place a couple of quotes in my sig.
If you don't want that to happen then you shouldn't be so cocky heading in.
Gosh. And don't act like Miami (Fl.) fans don't put things in people's faces. Miami (Fl.) fans did gloat when they beat FSU.
It's hard to not want to put things out there when Miami (Fl.) fans are so cocky. We went 10-4 last season, you all went 7-6. You still thought you had the better team. This year we beat you handily, players are still saying you have the better team. Heck, you said...

I always wondered how ESPN determined on where to go. Btw thanks for the props in the post etk. Like I have mentioned in all of my post in this thread and in the canes thread Miami is back. This isn't the dominate team of years past but they are really getting there. The way they recruit I expect them to be at our near the top for the next 5 years or so. We really did have the luck of the draw in Blacksburg tipped in our favor. Take away the rain and it's a whole different ballgame. Best wishes on the rest of the campaign. I for one want this conference to get the respect it deserves and having a good U is good for the ACC.

You're right. Gloating is not a good way to refer to you and I shouldn't have grouped you in like that. You're merely stating facts/presenting information. I'll give you that one.
I wasn't that cocky heading into that game. I'm cocky about the general direction of the team but I was very unsure of the potential outcome of the game beforehand.
All teams have gloating fans. None that I know of did (on the internet).
I still think we have the better team....I want to say I know we have the better team but that's awfully difficult to prove. There's no question who deserved to win that game, however...so enjoy it.

Apparently they have a special sequence planned to do with Mark Herzlich. That's the rumor. Personally I think it's well-warranted.

Well if that is the case then hats off to the network. I really have nothing but respect for Herzlich and would be honored to have him as a Redskin one day.

I am gloating. GJ taking the high road bf59. After listening to you guys pound Darren Evans and listen to how we did not deserve to win the ACC in the off season(it was mainly UM fans), then having to listen to your chest thumping after you somehow jumped 11 spots for beating GT, that beatdown was well deserved. Like I said earlier, the disrespect was from every facet of Miami, from the droves of bandwagon fans I had never seen before on rivals, to your player saying they should rename "BEAMERBALL", "SHANNONBALL", LOL.

What does Darren Evans have to do with this? He still is ridiculously overrated by VT fans.

And he is extremely under rated by everyone else, not that I feel he is better than Ryan Williams (he was still way in front of him on the depth chart when he got hurt, but I digress because I don't want to do this again). He obviously has nothing to do with the win, but, it was a compounding of the bashing of VT that had occurred since VT won the coastal.
Outside my realm of current euphoria, however, I do have some compliments and criticisms. Cooper is the real deal, he was doing a very good job against VT, and I still do not feel they have fixed the rush D completely, I feel they just matched up well against the rest of the UM backfield sans Cooper.
I am also still not convinced that VT is the current leader, I figure that there will be a 3-way tie between VT, GT, and Miami at the end of the October, I guess tie-breakers or November will figure it out. VT has/is at Duke, BC, at GT, and UNC in October, VT could lose any one of those games. I do feel November is the easiest of the 3 months (NCSU, ECU, UVA, Maryland). I honestly think 3 losses is not out of the question, if not more, and a situation very similar to last seasons ending occurring again.

Clemson has to go to Maryland this weekend. Maryland has a pretty sorry record so far this season but they always play us tough at their place. Any thoughts on this game?

I think Clemson wins on big plays, 31-14. I really like Clemsons QB to go off in this game.

The way Maryland has been playing Clemson should win by over 3 TD's. Maryland has the worst defense in the ACC and their offense is a mess with no identity. That isn't to say that they aren't dangerous and don't have weapons, but this team is just not a team. Maryland isn't a bowl game caliber team.

Maryland is almost as bad as UVA. Should be an easy Clemson win.

Still love it. Nothing better than a 250 pound DE, supposedly a speed rusher, bulling over a 300 pound lineman.
Worilds is amazing. Amazing strength, amazing speed, amazing acceleration, amazing skill. Love him. He's been doing it all year with no assistance from the rest of the defensive line.
Not bragging to Miami (Fl.) fans, I would have put that up no matter what team we were playing.

Don't doubt Jacory Harris. From 0/2 to 3/2 in the TD/INT department.

Lol wow UVA beat UNC 15-3. UNC was pathetic and showed no heart against a far inferior team talent wise. The UNC offense is a joke.

Are you really talking about VT? They blew us out. We have nothing to say about that team until next year. I hope they lose every game the rest of the year, but I'm not going to go and say they are a bad team. Alabama is the clear cut #1 right now and they gave them a very good game. VT is easily the best one loss team right now until proven otherwise.

Shocking day in the ACC. UVA beating UNC, Maryland beating Clemson, Wake beating NC State, Boston College beating Florida State, and Duke pushing VT to the limits with Thad Lewis looking studly. I think any team can beat any team on any given day. As horrific as UVA is with their defense and offensive playmakers like Vic Hall, Mikell Simpson, Jared Green etc., even they can beat any team if they are clicking. Also a team like Maryland who has looked horrible and has lost to 1AA teams is very dangerous. Torrey Smith might be the best offensive player in the ACC that you might not have heard of. His combination of kick returns and big receptions is unmatched by any other player in the conference right now. When you add to that a great RB Da'Rel Scott and a Senior QB in Chris Turner they are capable of beating any team. The rest of the season should be exciting in the ACC. I'm so glad Miami beat Oklahoma. Helps bring more legitimacy to the ACC.
