I'm working with this new guy and he had never heard the word "sycophant." I've come to expect this kind of idiocy living in Alabama, but this is a guy from Maryland with a masters degree. How have you never heard the word sycophant?

On a positive language note, I did get to use one of my favorite words, "cattywampus," in a sentence yesterday.
And it was unforced. It was the perfect word to describe the situation.
I think it's even better than the time I got to legitimately use "doppelganger."

Cattywampus would be a great name for a cat.
That said, I ******* hate people who don't follow ******* leash laws. I'd rather your 80lbs lab not ******* jump on me and scare the **** out of my dog, as you halfheartedly apologize from across the goddamn parking lot.

Cursive can be tough to read depending on the writer. Had a friend who had our teachers force him to totally rework his writing by taking off points because his cursive was so bad no one could read that ****.

Cursive is completely worthless. It is harder to read. The only time you ever use it is when you sign stuff. The fact that we waste time teaching it in schools is ridiculous.

It can actually be far quicker as the letters flow continually, rather than stopping for each letter. It's simply a matter of training yourself.

I mix cursive into my writing...like a very technically unsound but still legible hybrid.

Only dogs I'll ever consider walking with no leash are my 2 chihuahuas cuz they never leave my side and listen when I call.
I would never ever ever let my German Shepherd or Pit loose, I've had them charge at me trying to play and even being their owner, that's some scary ****.

People who schedule meetings at work for 6:30 in the morning (an hour before I'm supposed to get here) and then cancel them without telling me grind my gears.

this x1000. cursive is useless, but the hybrid is perfect for efficiency and legibility.

oy vey. i took a day trip to destin, fl today where i was pulled over for going 75 in a 45. i live in atlanta but have to make a tuesday morning court date 6 hrs away. i was entering a highway from a ramp and was accelerating because it was a ******* highway and a cop was right around the bend and nailed me with the radar. i noticed today floridians are quite the slow drivers but 45 mph speed limit on a highway?!
anyone know if online traffic schools are only limited to residents of the state? apparently the fine will be reduced if i take an approved traffic course but i'm not sure if i am eligible being a georgia resident. ****.

The University of North Florida grinds my gears. I graduated from there and during my time there, I went to almost all of their home baseball games. Even after I graduated, I went to as many games as possible. So what do they do as soon as I move and can't attend the games anymore? They start selling beer at the stadium for $1.00. You couldn't do it 7 years ago when I started college. **** off UNF.

How old are you? Why are you letting your parents tell you what job you can or can't accept?

Houston is the only college that I know of that serves beer during football games.
