Gotta be san diego. Simply has to. I don't know how anyone could even think to pick another team.

If San Diego doesn't win this division, Norv Turner should be banned from coaching in the NFL again. I don't think a monkey could screw this one up (assuming everyone is healthy).
It won't be close either.

Chargers, easily. I think Oakland ends the season strong and finishes in second, though.

Chargers no doubt. If the Chiefs get better on defense, I could see them, but it's the Chargers' division to lose.

KC and Denver will be better than people expect but the Chargers should win this thing pretty comfortably.

This is more lopsided than the AFC East. San Diego Chargers got this in the bag.

as much as I'd love to be a homer and say KC.I had to go SD.A healthy Merriman should make a big difference to that defense and what more needs to be said about Phillip Rivers

It's the Chargers to lose. Most talented team in the division, most proven team in the division....Honestly, if they play up to their ability they could compete for homefield in the AFC.
But the fact that we even have to question the division winner is their weakness. If they don't pull their **** together and play up to their ability, it becomes wide open between the Raiders and Chiefs, with 9 wins potentially winning it if the Chargers fail.

They have been making noise in the playoffs for the last couple years, and the whole team knows about all the expiring 2009 contracts. I think things are shaping up very nicely.

Have to agree with BB here across the board. After my vote for them, SD is like 83% on the poll, clearly somebody's going to have to beat the Bolts to win it & IDK who that would be in the division. As for their weakness as indicated, they're the Cowboys of the AFC just as Dallas is the Bolts of the NFC, both 3-4 shutdown defenses when at top form, a top-tier QB, good runing game when everyone's healthy, but lacking quality depth & the whole vehicle goes in the ditch when one component is subtrracted, like Romo breaking his pinky last yr or Damien Tomlinson's series of nagging injuries.
I admit I had all these good vibes about KC b/c they're a good young team on the way up & now have a reliable QB , but maybe too young -- the Herminator said a yr ago he wants "8 rookie starters" to get that team younger, he came close with about 6-7 of them, but they're still about 3-5 players (mostly o-line & secondary & that's crucial, the NFL today is all about pass protection & pass defense) away from any real playoffs consideration.
Denver's a mess of their own making & based on their disastrous outings vs. the 9ers in joint 7-on-7 scrimmages in Napa, CA this wk, the 09 Raiders offense could still dick up a wet dream. They served up 5 INTs Wednesday alone for another 9er pick party.

Anyone who doesn't vote for SD is crazy, ill-informed, or a homer. Or some kind of crazy combination.
The difference in talent is crazy, if SD plays to half their talent, they run away with the division with everyone else fighting for second place.
