I dunno.. I think although we seem to be the joke division of the league, our division race is definitely a four (at last three) horse race. The Cardinals added to their potent offense by drafting an everydown/between the tackles RB in Beanie Wells. Can his situation get anymore perfect?
The Seahawks are coming off a injury plagued season and they should be dangerous this season.
As for my team (49ers).. We're making strides. I think I'm gonna wait until a regular season game to start passing judgement.
The Rams are gonna surprise some teams this year. I think the place where they need to get the most production from is the defensive backfield. The front seven is definitely gonna hold it down this year but they need to rely on the backs to make plays back there.

I think I'm going with Arizona. I can't pick between them and Seattle. I trust Warner to lead that offense to another division title.

When it comes to this Div I'm not voting because frankly I just don't care.

Well my heart says Rams, but if I were to bet my life on it I'd have to go with the Cardinals.

It will be a lot closer than last year, but I think the Cards take it again. I also like the Niners' chances. The Seahawks' offense will be going nowhere and the Rams are one more year away I say.

Looks like the seahawks will be without Walter Jones (knee surgery) and Marcus Trufant (disk) for extended periods of time. Hurts there chances depending on how long they are out.

If the Seahawks don't get healthy, I don't think even the Super Bowl loser's curse will affect Arizona as they are still the most talented team in that division.

Cardinals. Their offense is downright scary and their defense is very underrated IMO.

Well I don't think they are underrated at all. I think they had a good playoff run just like the Colts did when they won the Superbowl. I agree the Cardinals have a lot of talent on their defense but I still see them giving up 20pts a game.

I want to believe the 49ers will win the division, but we have question marks at QB, Pass Rusher, Nose Tackle, Free Safety, and Right Tackle. We have some guys who can step up in a lot of these spots. But to enter a season with all these question marks, along with a first year HC and an OC who hasn't called plays in years, it lowers my expectations on the team.

Cards. Until someone steps up, it's stupid to assume any one else is going to win.

Lovely sig frillman, and these are my thoughts exactly. I love how 4 of the 5 votes for the Rams are known Rams fans.

Cards should win here, best offense, possibly the best defense also.
Seahawks are the wildcard in the division, if healthy they can challenge.

The Cards defense stepped up a gear in the post-season and killed off some pretty potent running teams. We've upgraded the troublesome secondary though pass rush remains a concern.
Offensively, a driven THT pushed by Wells will hopefully improve the running game.
This team has talent and confidence.
Seahawks could be a real danger, but key injuries may hold them back again.
Singletary put some fire in the Niners bellies and they will fight us to the death on the field, but I'm not convinced they can get up and do it each week. Not sold on their offense.
Rams...can't see much there still.

It's Arizona their defense is young and underrated, they can only get better IMO. Then the offense is just amazing, Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, and Kurt Warner are all back. Plus, they added Chris Wells who will definitely give a boost to their running game. If Warner stays healthy I expect them to win the NFC West easily. Seattle does come a close second though.
NFC West Predictions
Arizona Cardinals 10-6
Seattle Seahawks 8-8
San Francisco 49ers 7-9
St. Louis Rams 2-14

Thanks for your input. I don't know how much cooler that posts makes you but it's certainly up there.
I'll go with the underdog here. I like the Seahawks this year.

Until I read this post I thought that Seattle had a chance but now Arizona should run away with this division.

I actually have Arizona getting the 2nd seed in the conference right now...I don't think switching to the 3-4 poses that big of a problem, even though it wasn't needed.
The secondary is one of the best, if not the best in the league. The X-Factor will be Beanie Wells. His health isn't off to a good start as of now, but if he can somehow manage to stay on the field, then they should be in good shape.
I don't know if I like all the love that San Fran is getting. They still either have a bust or a journeyman at best starting at quarterback and still haven't even signed Crabtree, who is supposedly supposed to be an instant impact player? Besides Patrick Willis, I don't like the defense. Dre' Bly provides a replacement for Walt Harris, but just how far that will go has yet to be seen.
St. Louis, no explanation needed.
I think that Seattle's fate is all on Matt Hasselbeck's back. A back injury is one that is constant and it lingers on. If he can stay healthy, then they have a decent shot of getting 8 or 9 wins. I doubt they make the playoffs because the NFC East and South are just too much for them.
1. Arizona
2. Seattle
3. San Fran
4. St. Louis
