Well Ozzy is a SCAR guy so he has some of the younger guys covered. I'll throw in Junior TE, Weslye Saunders. He's an underrated TE prospect for sure. He's replacing Jared Cook and he's off to a good start, catching 4 passes for 50 yards last week. He could really emerge as a weapon for us. He's pretty quick at 6'4 about 280. haha. Runs good routes, has huge reliable hands, hard to bring down, is a much better blocker than Jared Cook. He's a good player, one def. worth keeping an eye on.

As for another...

Cliff Matthews finally looked like the pass rushing beast we thought we were getting. He's not too big but, has the strength, speed, and quickness off the edge to really become an outstanding pro prospect in his own right. SCAR's pass rush looks to be extremely dangerous and productive this year if Cliff is finally taking those next steps in his progression. The always dangerous Eric Norwood is a shoe in for double digit sacks himself. The returns of Clifton Geathers and Ladi Ajiboye are only going to help here.

Neither of those guys are going to starve to death at the next level. I think Mays has a chance to get a little seperation after the OSU game ,he won't get by the Seattle pick(s).

Berry actually went back to playing CB, at least week 1 he did and almost had a pic on the first play of the game LOL. Dude's versatility is insane. I don't think there was ever a real debate as to who was the best DB in the nation was.

I've asked this before but anyone else buy that Berry could be a damn good CB? He's built alot like Darrelle Revis, though I think Revis is bigger.

He was the #1 CB in HS. He's the man. He can play wherever he damn well pleases.

Since you mentioned so many players from Miami/FSU you've got to bring up Dekoda Watson who played better than Bradham imo. He had the only sack on Harris. Ponder looked pretty damn good too.

1 solo tackle, no pass defenses, fumbles forced, picks, sacks, tackles for loss, etc.

Seems about on par for his type of season.

Eric Berry didn't even play a full half and recorded four tackles and a PBU. You will see much more of him this weekend. But, how did Mays do? I didn't get to watch that game, really.

As a fan, if the Saints told me "we will draft Eric Berry, or we will draft Taylor Mays and give you 3 billion dollars, your decision..." I'd take Mays and the 3 billion, then I'd pay Eric Berry 1 billion dollars to come coach Taylor Mays.

I'd stay away from him too. He'll get more exposure this weekend because he is going to be keeping a close eye on Pryor.

Week 2:
*Derrick Morgan JR DE Georgia Tech: Absolute star, so solid at the point of attack, gets consistent pressure and is not weak against the run at all, easily a top 5 selection in the draft potentially.

*Brian Price JR DT UCLA: Kid is an absolute stud at defensive tackle, most likely a 1st round pick, just is playing so well and has such strength and quickness.

*Eric Berry JR SS Tennessee: The kid is just easily the best defensive player in college football, all over the field, making plays constantly. Like many of us on here have known for a long time, he kid is just a flat out star.

*Jacoby Ford SR WR Clemson: Had a real monster game, always has been fast but seems to be running very good routes and shows good hands, very pleased from what I see out of him.

*Nathan Triplett SR ILB Minnesota: Just an outstanding game, really made a name for himself, put it all together, was all over the field and hit very aggressively and tackled tough. Great signs from him, he should get a chance in the NFL with some team next year.

*Xavier Sua-Filo FR OT UCLA: Great prospect, very solid player, good footwork and has great stability and power. Should be a true great one.

*Mark Ortmann SR OT Michigan: Really like him as a prospect, big kid, moves well and should be a fine offensive tackle option come draft day.

*Rahim Moore SOPH S UCLA: Having an outstanding start of the season, a real ball hawk in the secondary. Wish I saw a little more toughness to him but if he keeps getting interceptions like he has been, who cares.

*Craig Roh FR DE Michigan: Liked him before he got to Michigan, and he is seeing a lot of playing time, good tall pass rushing defensive end.

*Greg Matthews SR WR Michigan: Really nice to see him playing up to his potential, he should have a fine season.

*Montario Hardesty SR RB Tennessee: About time he showed up, and just at the right time. Running the ball hard, quick in the hold and can get tough yards, very solid prospect and great to see him playing well.

*Tate Forcier FR QB Michigan: Clearly put him on the map, nice athlete, moves well on the move and so far seems to be a great leader. Let us see if he can consistently play that well week in and week out.

*Mario Butler JR CB Georgia Tech: Much better than he was last season, is a big corner, good tackler and stays active on the field making plays in more than one way.

*CJ Spiller SR RB Clemson: Looks to be more of a leader on the field this year, gets the ball more, catches the ball out of the backfield and is not afraid of contact. Having a fine senior season so far.

*Orson Charles FR TE Georgia: Really talented young tight end, looks very fast and strong, finally Georgia now has another great pass catching tight end like they have had in the past.

*Thaddeus Gibson JR DE Ohio State: Real beast off the edge, was good last year, now he is even better, played a great game against a great offensive line at USC.

*Akeem Ayers SOPH LB UCLA: Another fine young UCLA defensive prospect, good size and runs well, should develop nicely in their system.

*Jewhan Edwards SOPH DT Minnesota: Showed little things against Air Force but really played low to the ground and got penetration in the backfield, he is a player to watch.

Notes: Joe McKnight has been on the radar for a long time clearly, but was nice to see him dominate late in the end of the Ohio State vs USC game. He just made some really great plays on the field.

Starting to kind of hate how they are using Jonathan Dwyer at Georgia Tech. Always is the fullback on the dive play for the option every time, last year he was able to get out in the open more it seems. Or maybe the defenses are just catching up with what they are doing.

A few more from Week 1:
*Jake Locker JR QB Washington: Just amazing how much better he looks, now you do not even think of him as a run first quarterback, much more polished passer and the new coach of his could end up making him a lot of money. Because if Locker can pass the ball well, you are easily talking about one of the most impressive quarterback prospect in the nation.

*Patrick Peterson SOPH CB LSU: Really great prospect, tackles so well in the open field and has a very nice physical build to him, should be a great one at LSU.

*Kavario Middleton SOPH TE Washington: Really like him as a young tight end prospect, tall kid, good athletically and has decent hands.

*Chris Polk FR RB Washington: Great young running back prospect, cuts really well, has a nice change of direction to him but he has power running potential as well, should have a monster season for Washington this year and really help their offensive improve.

*Akeem Auguste SOPH CB South Carolina: Solid little corner, tackles very aggressively and moves well on the field.

Auguste was getting abused by Green. Not really a great week to bring him up. Garcia and Saunders had big games, though.

edit...you said week 1, my bad. He looked like Cap Munnerlyn in week 1. Week 2, not so much, it was ugly at times.

I personally though Cissoko from Michigan had a really good game. ND had 3 elite athletes at WR and he did a really good job keeping up and staying on the hip of those guys. Players like Floyd and Tate are going to make play but I thought that Cissoko did a really good job of limiting their influence.

Outside of Minor, who looked so much better than I've ever seen him look and Forcier, I thought Cissoko was the most impressive player for Michigan.

Eep.

Warren looked far superior to Cissoko. Bobo was getting beat all over the field. Warren actually had good coverage most of the time. I will say he was actually on the hip of the WR quite often. Unfortunately, he regularly got PI calls (although I thought one of them was slightly weak) and balls caught over him in alot of those situations.

Is this a serious post?

Cissoko had one of the worst games I've ever seen from a Michigan CB, and that includes the Markus Curry/Morgan Trent/Johnny Sears eras.

Do you mean the 150+ receiving yards and 2 TDs he gave up? If you consider that limiting their influence (ND WRs dominated both CBs), then you are out of your friggin skull. If Tate didn't drop two big plays against Warren, then Warren would have looked almost as bad... not that bad since that's very hard to do, but you get my point.

I usually don't rep people, but this is deserving of a neg rep

Two weeks into the season and Michael Floyd is the best player in NCAA.
