That might not be a bad idea. The Redskins are also trying to trade Albert Haynesworth, who comes with a big salary, and Jason Campbell. So a lot of trade scenarios could be brought up.

But if they did trade McNabb and the4th pick to move up. We could still get one of the DT if someone takes a OT or grab someone else.

Here's a thought if we did move to #4 and got McNabb and both Suh and McCoy are gone. Who do the Rams take?

The St. Louis Rams have released quarterback Marc Bulger.

Yeah but that's a big IF. And I don't think the Rams have the kind of team to take a chance on a guy like that.

Rams sign Na'il Diggs. This helps out with our OLB position. He has played both the strong and weakside so he should be able to help immediately.

Diggs does help out with draft need. Now we can push LB back a little in the draft unless someone falls.

I still would like a better option than Vobora, who I see as a good backup player.

Scott's New Mock has us taking Bradford in the first and Arrelious Been in the second. The first pick is great. I am not to big on the second pick. With names falling out of the first round that are first round talent. Our second round pick is going to be worth a lot. With the draft being three days, it will give teams all day to make offers for that second round pick. The rams should be able to find a good trading partner and be able to pick up an extra second round pick or more. I would rather see them trade that pick and still grab a WR but with Carlso Dunlap dropping on a lot of people's list he could be there in the middle of the second round. So what about this for the first 3 rounds.

Trade with Kansas City in the second round.

1. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
2A. Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
2B. Damian Williams, WR, USC
3. Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida

That's a very intriguing projection, but I question whether Dunlap or Hernandez would get a lot of consideration from the Rams. I don't know if they'll like Dunlap's work ethic, and I keep hearing some concerns about off the field stuff with Hernandez (but can't find much that elaborates).

I agree with you that the Rams do stay away from players with troubled past or off the field problems. But I heard Hernandez problem is immaturity, which is a problem of a lot of juniors that come out early. But he is a big time threat from the TE spot that could help stretch the field for the WRs. Dunlap on the other hand has ahd some DUI issues and has even said himself he does take plays off. But he is a top 10 talent if you have ever seen him and to get him in the 2nd round would be great. Maybe putting him with the Rams might help his attitude as well as Hernandez. It seems the Rams pass up on guys with issues but other teams don't and some times it works out. so I guess it just depends on the player and the atmosphere. I think Spanolou has a better grasp on the players than the last staff we had in there.

I honestly don't see the Chiefs trading away picks. They need just as much help as the Rams do. I think they're a team that'll try and add some picks, not trade them away.

I was just using the Chiefs as an example. There are 4 or 5 teams with multiple 2 round picks and if there is first round talent that slips into that 2nd round, they will have all night and day to put a deal together to get up to the top of the 2nd round. Which makes the 33rd pick in the draft worth a lot.

The Rams haven't been able to provide an atmosphere capable of changing the attitude and behavior issues of guys like Alex Barron or Richie Incognito, so I think it's tough to project that they're going to be able to do much with guys like Dunlap even if they somehow decide to take him.

Well that's something the rams need to work on, becuase they pass up on a lot of good talent in the draft and free agency because of it and other teams have a lot of success with those guys.

Do you see the Rams trading up into round 1 for a player like Kyle Wilson? They are working him out even though he is clearly going to go in round 1. I was sold on this guy the minute I watched him play and would love to see him in a Rams jersey.

Hard to say. I think Wilson could go as high as 18 to the Steelers, so it depends on where they'd be trading to. If I were the Rams, I might be more tempted to trade up for a defensive lineman or an offensive weapon (receiver/tight end).

But there should be some good value sitting there at the top of the second round when they pick, and because of that, they'll likely field some solid trade offers. Might be worth just seeing who falls and taking the night to reevaluate.

I don't see the Rams trading up, but I do think they'll trade down in the 2nd. I believe they're going to have a lot of offers for that 33rd pick.

Review of Bradford's workout from Friday with Shurmur and Curl...

http://interact.stltoday.com/blogzon...k-at-bradford/

Even though there's a report out that the Rams and Bradford won't agree on a contract before the draft - just in case an eleventh hour trade offer is made, I suppose - it's hard to imagine him not being the pick. Just hope he holds up at the next level!

There have been rumors floating around that the Rams and Browns have been talking about a trade so the Browns could take Bradford. Of course Holmgren tried to minimize it but there could be something to it. I think this would be a fantastic move on the part of the Rams if they could get an additional 2nd rounder this year and a 1st rounder in next year's draft. I have said all along that I think Bradford is being somewhat overly hyped due to the weak QB class, and I would much rather put more pieces together in this year's draft, especially on the offensive line.

In any case, if this trade were to come to fruition, does anyone have any ideas about what the Rams might do at #7? Eric Berry would be awfully tempting if he were still available, as would Trent Williams. There is also a lot of talk of Philadelphia wanting to trade into the top 10 to get Berry, which could be very intriguing as well. We could trade down twice, draft a guy like Kyle Wilson or maybe Sean Weatherspoon. We would also then have a handful of second day picks which would increase our talent level tremendously. And we would have two 1st rounders in next year's draft that would give us the ability to come away with the franchise QB we really want...Jake Locker.

At TE in the 3rd round I would prefer a guy like Dennis Pitta over Hernandez. While Pitta may not be quite the athlete that Hernandez is, his speed and numbers at the combine were somewhat surprising, he has excellent hands and, while blocking is not something he has a ton of experience in doing, he is a very hard worker and strikes me as the kind of guy that would do whatever his team asked of him. Kind of reminds me of John Carlson from Seattle.

Additionally, I think that our first pick in the 4th round could be very valuable. There is always a guy with a late 1st/early 2nd ranking that slips through the cracks and makes it to that spot in the 4th round. Considering how deep this draft is that pick could also be one that brings strong trade offers.
