Actually it should be on the list because: It was a wonderful story. It ushered in a new era of movies (just like Gone With the Wind did in 1939) It changed the way films were marketed, it really put "special effects" on the map. It was also revolutionary in sound as I believe it was the first major release in "DOLBY STEREO". IMHO is it the best film since 1977 until now? No, but I would say it is the most important as far as the industry is concerned.

There is only ONE Star Wars...not that NEW HOPE crap!

Star Wars 1977

IMO Empire had the better story (And I enjoy it more), but it was not revolutionary as was the first one so I do not think I would put that higher on the all time list.

IMHO you are wrong on that one. Sure Jar Jar was annoying, but TPM had the best villian of the PT, really had the best story (more like Star Wars) than the last two. The worst one in my book is AoTC! That film is a pice of shitte and does not even deserve to have the name"Star Wars" associated with it. Because that film was sooooo bad even the so-so ROTS could not save this PT from utter failure.
