You seem to be forgetting no one man can guard Shaq (except for Dennis Rodman and his knee-up-@ss D)

They would beat the Suns but not the Mavs. When Dirk is feeling it hes just unstoppable and if Diop can somewhat contain Shaq theyll win

Probably they have great depth as well
Walker, Williams, Payton, Zo, Wade, Shaq, Posey, Haslem, Anderson.

Shaq is, in all honesty, a horrible basketball talent.
I cant stand to watch him play. Take a look at the highlights... watch how he posts. I call it the "swing-smack-set" method... where he swings his elbow into the opponent, turns and smacks the opponent with his off hand, and sets the ball into the basket. Is he productive? Yes. Is it easy to win with him? Yes. Does that make him good? NO! It makes him rare... not from his talent, but from his size... and I hate it.
*sigh*... go to hell, Shaq. Wade, on the other hand...

The Mavs have an answer to Shaq?
|
DeSagana Diop can probaly guard Shaq as well as anyone in the league. He is a defensive specialist at 7 foot nearly 300 lbs.
|
And he is also a liability on offense. Diop will get some minutes to guard Shaq but he won't play the majority of the game.
Also, neither team in the West have an answer to Wade. In fact very few teams in the NBA do.

I may be a pestimistic a-hole for my Heat, but No, no matter what. Especially against the Mavs. We were 0-2 against both of them, and the Mavs held us to an average of 84 points, the lowest of any of the 28 other teams.

Call me stupid but I have always thought Shaq was an under achiever. With his size and build he should be 10 times the player that he is. He cant hold a candle to Wilt or Jabbar at his position and that sad fact is....he should be better than both those two given his physical abilities.
The Heat better pray that the Suns beat the Mavs thats all I have to say. Otherwise its Series over in 5

That's like saying Vince Carter isn't talented because all he does is jump out of the gym and use his superior athleticism to beat players.

Yes but Ive seen Vince Carter make baskets further than 4 feet from the basket :)
Ive said it for years and I still stick to it, Shaq isn't all that talented. I would say about 60% of his made baskets are dunks, he is the biggest person to ever play the game. He never really developed a move outside of his baby hook that now a days he isnt even all that effective with. Never developed any kind of short to mid range jumper, a turn around from the post. He just relies on using his 340 lbs to push himself within 2-4 feet of the basket and an NBA player should shoot 50%+ from the field every year from that range.
I also beg to differ that the Mavs have no answer for Wade, the Mavs have more back court talent and depth than any team in the NBA. They can rotate Terry, Stackhouse, Daniels, Howard, Harris in and out of the game and on Wade. Not to mention Im not sure how well Antoine Walker & James Posey are going to match up to Dirk.

Did you see the last series? because I could have sworn it was the same old Shaq.
Yes, he will get his 4th ring, the Heat are beating whoever the play. No one can't stop the Heat right now. Riley did a great job putting this team together and we are clicking at the right time. GO HEAT!
And I predicted every game in the last series right, 6 for 6, and that was all before game 1.

Shaq has regresed some but he's still a force. He has proven he can carry a team on his shoulders, look at when he was with the magic. all that expirience will help him, if he can stay healthy. Add in D. Wade, and you got a KO 1-2 punch. I hated it when the Lakers tarded Shaq, in all honestly i would've rather much have them trade Kobe and not Shaq. And for those who say he's not very talented well you're right to a certain extent, Shaq's hands are massive so he can't really have a great handle on the ball to be able to shoot it from mid range shots. So, you use what you got, and what does he have? A massive 7'1" 300+ lbs. frame.
He will win the 4th ring.

The Mavs match up very well against Miami in my opinion and I believe the NBA Finals will go to Dallas in 6.

If the Suns somehow got Amare Stoudamire back for the finals the heat would not stand a chance.
The Mavs have the best chance of beating the heat because they have the ability to play Shaq one on one and defenders to contain D-Wade.

Please explain to me who is going to stop Shaq one on one on the Mavs, and please don't say Dampier, not Erick Dampier. And the only thing that can stop D Wade is the flu.

You don't have to stop Shaq, no one is going to shut Shaq down. Diop is a defensive specialist and they don't need his scoring, between him and Dampier that is a lot of size & strength that is purely for throwing at Shaq on defense.
What is Shaq going to do on the pick and rolls with Devin Harris & Jason Terry? Those two arent Chauncey Billups and the Detroit Pistons, they will go straight and hard to the hole and not stand at the top of the key and allow Shaq to hedge and jog back.

Erick Dampier earned his contact from his defense of Shaq. Diop,Dampier and they have another big body to throw at shaq. Adrain Griffin, Josh Howard and Marquis Daniel are all good defenders. plus the mavs play good team defense

The Mavs play better team defense than they used to, but they still don't play anywhere near as good team D than the Pistons. And the other big body is going to be our for half the series isn't he. Diop is a good shot blocker, but has he gone against Shaq? We will have to wait and see, and thats if the Mavs get out of their series, which I think they will.
