We need a nice collection of emoticons, that's been sorely missing here. Granted if you search hard enough and just remember you can still use them, but we need more then the originals anyway, let's do this!

Doesn't take but a couple clicks to give someone who already has admin status the ability to upload smileys...unless Scott keeps them hosted off-site. No reason why he should, though. A couple dozen smileys won't eat up much space at all.

If the emoticons are going to remain disabled/broken, then can it at least be made to where they're off completely? That way we can actually type the smileys in punctuation marks and have them appear that way (ie. :P )

I think there's an option for us to do this ourselves, but I can't seem to find it.

There's a check box for "disable smilies in text" just below the submit button.
