It will be presented by Rotel and we'll have to watch those god awful commercials until the end of time.

Realistically, all conferences need to get together, and agree to a total re-alignment that makes more sense. There are some schools the realistically don't belong in their conferences these days, but still are members due to 100 year old traditions. Other schools play at a higher level, yet don't get a BCS bid or an offer to a major conference.
OF course... this will never happen because it be way too difficult...

It has little to do with tradition and everything to do with money and prestige.

Nawh. The Big Ten cares about academic prestige. If they didn't they would have added a money making school like Kentucky a long time ago and been done with it.
Now, you could definitely make the case that they only care about prestige because it equals more money, but then it's an issue of semantics.

If that were the case, Northwestern wouldn't be a part of the Big 10, Vandy would be outta the SEC, Baylor wouldn't be in the Big 12, etc. etc.
I agree money is the biggest issue, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think prestige and tradition have a big influence here.

Northwestern makes the B10 a lot of money. I work at a Big Ten University, trust me, there are a lot of ways to make money outside of just ticket sales.

It's basically very little compared to what the Detroit Free Press accused them. All of the activities in question were voluntary, but according to the NCAA those activities cannot be supervised. Michigan also admitted to going over Sunday practice limits by 20 minutes because of confusion over pre-practice stretching.
It sounds minor (because it is), but apparently the NCAA takes these issues very seriously. Chances are this will end up being a slap on the wrist, but if the NCAA decides to be total dicks and count our basketball probation towards this punishment than it could be much worse.

I think they are probably going to punish Michigan slightly more because of the public's perception of practice related injuries/deaths recently, namely the Ole Miss incident.
The NCAA may want to come out and over react to show that they are serious about the issue.

Adrian Clayborn pleads guilty to disorderly conduct.
Wouldn't be surprised if he has to sit for the season opener vs. Eastern Illinois.

Nothing huge, but apparently Martavious Odoms beat everybody on the team in the 40 at Michigan's Night of Champions. Yes, everyone, including Denard Robinson. A little surprising.
Also, DE/DT Adam Patterson ran a 4.69. Too bad it doesn't translate to the field.

Some interesting stuff from Michigan's spring roster and first Rodriguez presser:
-RB Vincent Smith and C David Molk are out for spring practice recovering from knee injuries. DT Mike Martin is limited to non contact with a shoulder injury. WR Junior Hemingway had recent knee surgery, but will hopefully be back for the end of spring practice.
-Denard Robinson is too valuable to not have on the field. When he's not playing QB, he'll get some reps at WR (which he did at the end of last year as well)
-Cam Gordon has been moved to safety.
-Ryan Van Bergen is listed at DE, and is up to (listed) 6'6" 280. He should be playing Brandon Graham's spot this year. With DT Mike Martin at 6'2" 294, and NT Will Campbell up to 324 at 6'5", the Dline should be about 20 pounds heavier on average this year.
-OT Taylor Lewan is up to 283 from 268 last year. He probably needs another year (sorry Sniper).
-Craig Roh is up to 6'5" 249 from 238 last year. Still listed at LB, but he'll be playing with his hand in the dirt quite a bit apparently as well.
-Michigan has a couple of pretty big RB's. Sophmore Michael Cox is 6'0" 210, and freshman Stephen Hopkins is 6'0" 236. Hopkins is huge. Cox reminds me of Brandon Minor (hopefully without the injuries).
Some other interesting notes:
QB Tate Forcier-Up to 194 from 188
QB Devin Gardner-6'4" 203. I still hope he redshirts.
WR Junior Hemingway-6'1" 227. That's a huge WR.
WR Ricardo Miller-Listed at 6'4" 212. As a recruit he was listed at 6'2"

There better be an actual game on that night as well.

We'll see. If he can be 290-295 by fall practice, I still think he can start. A line of Lewan-Schilling-Molk-Barnum-Omameh for this year would be fantastic.

Interesting.
I've always thought he would be better off on defense. His hands and route-running were both mediocre, but he is fast.
I wonder if this opens up the door for Justin Brown to get regular time.

IMO, our starting WRs should be JB, Moye, Drake with Zug, Kuntz, Felder-Mosley, ect vying for PT.
Edit: Forgot Kersey.
