Even then the player doesn't have that much leverage on the contract, it comes down to their draft position. Look at Crabtree, the argument was it doesn't matter how talented you think you are or how much you think you are worth you were drafted at a certain spot and that is how much you are getting. Plus if the players don't like it what are they going to do, sit out a year? unlikely.
