That's a really, really rough staff though. I mean, the idea is ******* ********, but I can understand only being able to handle 75 pitches from them.

James McDonald, RA Dickey, Matt Cain, Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, Cole Hamels.
They are your NL Cy Young candidates in no particular order.
Mindfucked yet?

Who would be your National League MVP at this point in time?
I see it coming down to Braun, Votto, and McCutchen.

Votto if he keeps pace all season. On pace for over 200 hits and almost 100 walks.

Right now, I'd give the edge to Votto. He's getting on base damn near 50% of the time. .367/.486/.658 line is ridiculous. Then I'd go Braun, Wright, and McCutchen.

David Wright?? Almost single handedly has kept the Mets offense pertinent up until this point.

And Andrew McCutchen hasn't for the Pirates?
But yes, Wright did slip my mind. Apologies my friend.

I'm not saying Wright should win right now Votto should but to leave him off was egregious which is why I brought it up. McCutchen is amazing and probably the most underrated star player in MLB right now.

He's going to fall so hard. He hasn't improved anything in his game and it's his BABIP that's fueling everything right now.

Cutch is great but the Pirates will finish with like 75-80 wins in the end so he won't get it
With Kemp missing so much time with the hammy, it's Braun or Votto right now. Cargo would be in the conversation but voters won't vote for a guy on a team who is doing so sh*tty
NL Cy Young is Dickey at this point, amazingly. Cain and Strasburg are both 2A and 2B behind Dickey
The NL really has a more wide range of beastly beasts than the AL does. AL MVP is what? Hamilton still despite him sucking ass in June? Chris Sale the leader for AL CY Young?

It's pretty obvious Trout is AL MVP.
Votto is NL MVP easily right now with Braun and Wright tied for 2nd with Wright having the advantage due to a better team. They are pretty much equal in WAR, wOBA, and wRC+.

I think it's Votta by a lot at this point. He's just killing it so far.
I'd love to see JMac stay great down the stretch and actually get talk for the Cy Young. That would be awesome.

Actually, Josh Hamilton has the lead on Trout in WAR and much bigger lead in wOBA and wRC+.
Trout is a nice story, a great rookie and having a fantastic season in general. But he's not running away with MVP.

Yeah I was being about 75% serious on that. Trout might surpass Hamilton in WAR eventually though because of his great D and Hamilton had a month head start on him.

Josh Hamilton having a better year than in 2010 blows my mind.
