McDonald looks awful again. Only given up one run, but walked 4 through 2.1 and just has no control at all. Something is clearly wrong with him. Don't know what happened, but he is quite easily the Pirates worst pitcher of the 2nd half so far.

It's probably him returning to the normal James McDonald.

He can't locate anything and he's thinking too much instead of pitching. He needs a week off and just refocus.

The good news is that Houston is not very good. Jones just murdered that ball. Damn near the top of the upper deck.

Dear god the Angels lineup today
I'm sorry you had to have that for your first start, Greinke.

I think it would have been a river shot at PNC.

May have been. Looked like it would have gotten too far towards center to have made the river but easily could have gone over the stands in RF.

The #Mariners are close to trading reliever Brandon League, say baseball sources. Location yet undetermined
|
Wonder what team, I'd imagine the Cards would be interested.

Escobar will do what the Twins want and that's catching the ball when he is supposed to and making the right plays. His calling card is defense and he's pretty good at it. He won't give you much with the bat, but since he doesn't get a whole lot of playing time, his stats look awful.
Hernandez had one start in the majors, but he's clearly not ready yet. I'm sure the Twins will want to work on his command more than anything. His stuff is good enough, but he will probably end up in the pen.

Mlbtr just retweeted a post saying they've been talking to the White Sox about him.

I would be beyond shocked. Unless it's a really good prospect, that would be a horrible deal for St. Louis.

I love League. We should give them Chipper. That would be the funniest trade ever.

I am so confused. On another note, Justin Smoak is ******* terrible so Seattle does need a first baseman...

Sounds like it's the Giants getting League. Posey and Cain going to Seattle.
