You could be Omar Minaya and traded Cliff Lee, Brandon Phillips, and Grady Siezmore for Bart Colon.
Or Dave Littlefield who traded Kenny Lofton and Aramis Ramirez for Bobby Hill, Jose K Hernandez, and Matt Bruback. God I hate Dave Littlefield so damn much. I hope I meet him. I'd kick him square in the nuts.

Giants VP Bobby Evans texts that there's "no truth to the rumor" the Giants have a deal in place for Pence.
|
Well, so much for that.

Minaya's deal made sense though, in a roundabout way. He basically had to do it to try and salvage Montreal's life, even if it was stupid as ****.

Agreed, I guess. He felt they were going to get contracted and they were contending. I can see it.
Now that I think about it, Dave Littlefield has to be the worse GM ever. Turned down Ryan Howard for Kris Benson and then Cliff Lee, Franklin Gutierrez(when he was good), and Kelly Stompach for Jason Bay.
God, I really, REALLY hate that man.

What else has Littlefield done? Hmmm.
Picked Bullington over BJ Upton. Then said that he'll be a 3rd or 4th pitcher lol. Switched the leading home run hitter John Van Benschoten to a pitcher. lol. Then chose Moskos over Weiters.

Other notable trades by Littlefield:
A young Chris Young who they just paid 1.5 million on for Matt ******* Herges. Herges didn't even make it out of ST without getting cut.
Leo Nunez aka Juan Carlos Oviedo for a 39 year old Benito Santiago.
Probably my greatest one. Rajai Davis for Matt ******* Morris. The same Matt Morris who was owed 9.5 million dollars and the Giants didn't pick up a single penny.
Then signing Jeremy Bernitz who was a swing away from dying, Joe Randa, etc.
Boy do I miss those days...

That Matt Morris trade was so hilarious and weird at the time. Second only to the Vernon Wells deal in terms of "this just doesn't make sense at all" at the time trades.

I hope I sometime can become a GM. I'd hire Littlefield to be our custodian and every night I'd kick the **** out of him just for shits and giggles.

...why would you have to become a GM to hire Littlefield as a janitor? This makes no sense

All I see is that they want Pence and might give up Affeldt. Is that correct? What's the proposed deal?
