1.3 wins in 3 years is very valuable for $16.5 million a year. Great deal.

I would argue Minaya's tenure here was average until he gave out the Bay and Ollie deals.

Holliday and Beltran lead the NL with 75 RBIs. Cardinals have a run differential of +99, best in Majors (Yanks are 2nd at +86) but they're only 7 games over .500, is that even possible?

Run differential is not a good definition of team's record.
Take Orioles for example.... they suffer -60 run differential but they own 20-6 record on one run score.

He has strong chance but it is Pirates the LOSER. After 20 something seasons, the Pirate finally surfaces.
McCutchen hits 370 avg? Unreal.

They aren't lucky. It all balances out though, in due time.

Jesus! Juan Pierre currently registers for 25 SB and 15 K this season. If he finishes this season more SB than K then it would be 10 out of last 12 years. It has to be a record somewhere in MLB. no?
NVM: Ty Cobb (16 out of 24, 217 over) Eddie Collins (17 out of 25, 273 over)

Ah man, Cards/Rockies are in a rain delay, they're showin some Cardinal highlights from last year. I miss the "Do it for Torty" chant for Allen Craig and all the players yelling "Do it for torty!!" everytime Craig came up, so hilarious.

That is just the most upsettingly irrelevant statistic I've seen in a while.

He's better than Michael Young (even if he should play third).
