Cesar Cabral's performance out of the pen was one of the most pathetic performance I've ever seen from a major leaguer. He hit 3 batters, gave up 3 hits, 3 runs, left the bases loaded and got no outs. Joe West actually threw him out of the game.

Getting Ike makes the team better. Have to wait to see who the other player is, already plenty of speculation it could be a 2013 draft pick. They'd never trade Meadows or McGuire for him, but anyone Blake Taylor and down is probably fair.

Looks like Lambo blew the only chance he's gonna have for awhile.

Not sure about that. He kinda sucks. But he has the potential to give the Pirates some pop off the bench.

Mets mlb.com board keeps speculating its Mazzarro. I highly doubt it, since they could have claimed him on waivers last week if they wanted him.

It's someone better than Thornton, not Mazzaro. I'm hoping Jones or Dickson.

Just look at his career OPS compared to Ishikawa off right handers. That's all you need to know to know the 1B platoon is improved.

I think it's a great move. I wanted the Yankees to grab him for depth but GF was right when he told me that the Mets would never want to see him hit 30 HRs in a Yankee uniform. The power potential is definitely there. Someone can fix him. Chris Davis sucked at one point too. Granted I don't think he'll ever be as good as he was last year, but he is still a good player.

I like both of those guys a lot, so that would be disappointing. They are in the right range of prospects of where people are talking that the PTBNL should be, so we'll see.

I'd rather give up Dickson of the two, just because of how much stronger our system is in pitching than position players.

I think getting him is a very good thing. I dont wanna say its a great move until we know who they gave up. Some idiotic Pirates fans that are always in 'right now' mode wanted to give up Kingman for him, they should be pleased at least.

Heyman says its a 2013 draft choice, so we'll have to wait a couple months to know who. Blake Taylor is in the same range of our rankings as guys like Dickson and Jones. Really anyone but Meadows and McGuire would be on the table. I'd expect one of those 3, and I don't want it to be Jones.

The amount of Mets fans on twitter that think they're definitely getting Meadows is hilarious.

I don't want to give up on Jacoby Jones. I believe he can develop into something very useful. But he can also turn out to be a huge bust. I am on the side where he turns into something great. He's already showing flashes.

If the Pirates give up McGuire or Meadows for Ike Davis, this will be one pissed of Pirate fan. Luckily that isn't going to happen.

I don't get that trade for the Mets. Was it simply to get Duda to 1B?

Yes they're basically the same player. Couldn't keep switching back and forth between the two.

After seeing the walkoff grandslam last night, I was talking with some friends about walk off stats. We were wondering which playet has the most career HR without a walkoff. Despite furious Googling, we could not find the answer. Anyone know this answer?
