Managers usually keep their closers in the game until they get the save or blow the save. It's rare that a manager would take his closer out of the game while still leading.

Between Leylands managing and these umpires (who hate the tigers), it's a miracle we won this game...

Outside of the Cameron at bat, I have no problem with the way Leyland managed Valverde. It is Valverde's fault, leave it at that.

So you allow a 5 run lead to be blown out of stubbornness? Or to teach Valverde a lesson? Or what?
Leyland should have pulled him after he walked Youkilis to make it 3 straight.

To give Valverde a chance to redeem himself, considering the team blew through its best two relievers in the previous three innings.

At least Happ went 6 innings of shutout ball. Our team isnt as bad as we thought. If Berkman were to re-sign then we would have got two free prospects for him. Granted, I dont think I want some 400 pounder, that cant play defense like Bagwell, that is hitting 230.

Cardinals Offense is soooooo bad. 0-0 against the Pirates in the 8th inning, why is everyone in St. Louis begging for a 4th-5th starter? We need a bat!! Middle Infield.......Maybe Kelly Johnson or Stephen Drew? Any Dbacks fans even know if these two are on the trading block?

Now, I've heard from Law and Olney that the Nats told multiple teams that getting Edwin Jackson was most important for getting Adam Dunn and now the Nats don't want to do it. All I got to say to that is,
