David Murphy is an average offensive outfielder with solid defense at a corner position, whoop.

Exactly the kind of guy this team needs. Dude ain't spectacular, but he is consistent. We have to have some dirty workin' regulars that get the job done.

Eh...the Red Sox got a first round pick out of the deal, too. Forget who they used it on.
I was/am a Murphy fan, but no one in Boston is complaining about that deal.
Thank you, Rays, Yanks, and Blue Jays for all sucking tonight!

Again, Scott Rolen and Chris Carpenter were not fighting. Rolen was trying to Calm Carpenter down because him and Dusty were getting into it. And just listened to the Reds broadcast of it LMAO what homers. Molina started the whole thing? PLEASE. A day after Brandon Phillips calls every Cardinal "little bitches" which by the way He's talking about like 10 players on his own team. He wants "no hard feelings" Taps Molina on the shin guard, from reports I've read Molina responded "I aint your little *****" Then Phillips tapped him again. Brandon should of just kept his mouth shut, and you can't call someone a little ***** and then expect there to be no hard feelings, that's just stupid. And Johnny Cueto kicking Carpenter in the back and Larue in the side of the face, I think Brandon Phillips has a word for that.
But anywho, Adam Wainwright for CY. Nice sweep boys!

wait are we calling Scott Rolen one of the most liked players in baseball? I personally got no problem with him, but he is absolutely LOATHED in Philadelphia. I have lived in PA my whole life and a couple years ago Comcast did a "Top 5 Most Hated Former Philadelphia Athletes" and Scott Rolen was number 2. I'm no Phillies fan, but he treated that organization terribly on the way out.
And I'm pretty sure Rolen's exit from St. Louis, much like Jim Edmond's exit, was because they were coming of serious injuries and weren't producing up to par when healthy. I do remember Rolen having a very public dispute with La Rusa though.
As for Carpenter, aside from the whole Brendan Ryan issue and escalating the incident with Baker, I've never heard a bad word about the guy.

Yes they were. Watch the fight. Rolen is separating two people then Carp comes over and Rolen freaks. He [Rolen] was the one who pushed Carp to the fence.
You even said Molina was the first to say something on the field. THEN Brandon taps him.
Cueto kicked because **** block Cards pinned him up against the fence.
You're calling the Reds' announcers homers? But clearly the Cards' are so saintly and unbiased.....I heard it on the radio yes. But seriously the video is ******* everywhere. I have watched it. Hell the ******* thing is posted here.

EVERYONE who leaves Philly becomes one of their most hated athletes on just about every sport.
I have never heard a GOOD word about Carp aside from him on the mound.

No actually watch it, and listen to the players reactions after. Carpenter even said "It was fine, what I think happened was Scott grabbed me and I think they thought we were doing something that's when the bullrush got me. Scott was just pulling me out and I was fine with that" Heck look at the two afterwards, pretty much giving eachother a pat on the back.
And Carpenter was pinned against the net, you don't see him kicking his way out like a little *****. I don't think you realize what serious damage that could of caused. I'm expecting a pretty big suspension. And Molina said something AFTER Phillips tapped him the 1st time. Just play ball, don't go run your mouth then the next day try to make peace, that's just stupid.
But who cares, I'm not going to change your opinion and your not going to change mine.

God the Pirates pitching is horrible. Chan Ho Park is done. I want him DFA right now. James McDonald hasn't looked too bad in his two starts as a Pirate. I really like him. Maholm, Dorf, and McDonald are the only three pitchers who should make the staff next season. They NEED to sign free agent arms. Freddy Garcia and/or Jorge De La Rosa, Brad Penny, etc. I'm not sure I even want Rendon at this point, although my tone will change soon enough.

Cueto gets 7 games (probably 1 maybe 2 starts), Larussa and Baker both get 2 games.
Phillips, Russ Springer, Carpenter, and Molina all fined.

not true. As much crap as Philly fans get (and a lot of it is deserved) they give respect to those who former players if they deserve it. Aaron Rowand is loved in that city, so is Jim Thome. Randy Wolfe is well liked. Before Placido Polanco came back he was liked.
Plus, again, I live in PA. I saw how he acted and while I am no Philly fan, I have to admit he was pretty bad to the organization.
