Don't set your expectations too high, the O's beat the Yankees 10-5 on opening day last year after all.

I'm liking my "reaches" (lol) for Heyward, Beckham, Cargo, and Marcum in fantasy already...

I'm not. I am just happy to see the bats come out against a quality team today. Don't be surprised to see the Pirates surprise this season due to the division not being so strong.

I would be shocked to see the Pirates surprise this season. I don't think your division is that bad. The Brewers, Cards, or even the Reds could take it.

Cubs just got shafted on a call. It should have been 1st and 2nd no outs instead it was a double play.

The only way the Pirates will surprise anyone is if they finish with a winning record for the first time in a million years.
I'm pretty sure you were all giddy pretty early last season too Hines.
Also, how can umps be so bad as to not see a white ball bouncing on the ground. I mean, that wasn't even close to a catch by McClouth.

Idea: Combine the lineups. Trade Prince and Braun and Rickie Weeks to Detroit.
Problem solved.

Prince Fielder is going to be an Oriole after this season anyway!
*everyone stand back while I rosterbate at the idea of having Fielder*
2B Roberts
RF Markakis
CF Jones
1B Fielder/Snyder
DH Reimold/Scott
C Wieters
3B Bell/Tejada
LF Pie
SS Izturis
*jizzes*

jcrasnick: The estimated distance on Jason Heyward's first career home run was 442 feet.
Really?

Wieters alone would induce jizz.

Jason Heyward hit his in his first major league at bat...while also impregnating all the Cubs players' wives/gfs.

He clearly only has a 32 inch vert after Jarrett Brown just threw that high pass to him left handed.

Yea, but he probably would have gotten good enough money and succeeded in the NFL.
I'm not faulting him, I'd love to play baseball over football if I had the choice of which career I wanted. But he's really sucking in baseball. Maybe he can try out for the Bears.
