Yankee fans, would you be willing to do a Joba/Nova and Nunez for Hanny/Meek trade?

Um no. Wouldn't even consider it. Relievers go back and forth so much that Joba easily could be better than both those guys next year. He certainly has more upside.

What if it was Nova and Nunez? Would you still not do it?

Do you think the "mystery" team that has offered Lee a 7 year contract is a hoax made up by Lee's agent?

Heyman is reporting that Lee has TWO 7-year offers worth $20-$25 million per year.
Joel Sherman doesn't think the Yankees will go higher than 6/$144 for Lee. It sounds like Texas doesn't want to go past five years. I think the 6/$144 could get it done, but that's without knowing what teams offered the seven years and what the total salary will be.

We signed C Ronny Paulino for 1 year $1.3 million.
We signed RP D.J. Carrasco for 2 years $2.5 million.

Red Sox? Could we really do that though? Lord knows Theo loves pitching, but that would be a massive surprise.

We have $41 million per season tied up in three pitchers. I highly doubt that Theo would give another $22-$25 million to another pitcher, especially considering that we need to extend Gonzalez.

Could the Mets be one of the unnamed teams? That would be out of nowhere but it'd be one hell of a statement for the new regime. Surprised nobody even threw their name out there, there's only so many big market teams that have that kind of money to spend and still be able to survive.

Red Sox in on Russell Martin. Makes a whole lot of sense if we can get him for short dollars.

That's what I'm concerned about. Would love to try to get him back to form and he'll likely still hit better than Salty and Tek, but I would hate to overpay for a sub .700 OPS player.

Any catcher that can throw to second... just get the ball to second base... would be nice.
I'm more worried about our bullpen. Okijima might not be tendered (Not sure if I'd want him)

If the Tigers held up a Greinke deal because of Austin Jackson they'd be pretty stupid.

Pirates signed Matt Diaz to a two year deal. I like it because it fits what they were looking for. I wonder what the numbers are.
