I agree. Pedro Martinez in his prime was the most dominating pitcher I've ever seen.

Kris Benson retired, which didn't matter to me at all, until I got curious and went on baseball reference to look at his career stats and then noticed that his first name is Kristen. Then I laughed a lot. Am I a terrible person?

So hall of fame voting should be based on how they do against the Yankees?

Expect for the Fact he is one of the Biggest D-Bags in the world. I live near Parksburgh WV where his Family lives. He said in local Newspaper and local radio that He was the Reason they won the World Series.

I've always been a fan of the Duke, and his versatility if healthy would be a nice addition to the team.
There was a bit of news last year about Duke not liking how much attention the Yankees get. I can't seem to find it now.

I thought Cashman said he wasn't giving up his first-rounder for anyone.

The Yanks had a ton of extra money to spend this year because they failed at getting everyone else. Soriano was the recipient of that money.

Besides Lee, who else did we want? Pettitte? That's about it and he might still come back.

Well just the Lee money alone was a large "saving." You couldn't take it to the fanbase saying you signed zero players so you had to make at least one move. It's going to look bad if Soriano opts out of the contract after one year though.
