Beltran to the Braves for Minor and a lesser prospect makes the most sense. I don't expect a Wheeler or Belt from SF but Brown is probably in play.

Well then no deal I suppose. I don't see how having an opinion requires me to be confident enough to bet on it even money. It's not like I made a guarantee.
I'd be willing to go straight up that the Twins will finish ahead of Cleveland.

A possible bidding war between 5 WS contenders. I'll take it.

Why would Texas want him? I don't follow.

And we obtain Jurickson Profar in the process. Seriously though, I'm guessing that Carlos is staying in our division.

No need for Profar when we'll have Reyes for the next 10 years!! It'll be Martin Perez.

I'll take Profar playing 2B and hitting 2nd. Although, I suppose I could accept Perez as well.

He's been good. Doesn't cover as much ground as he used to but I'd still say he's been slightly above average in RF.

Wow you'd think at this point you could tell when I'm being sarcastic or not. I think you know very well I'm not naive enough to think we'll be getting that big of a prospect back.

I don't particularly care for this tone you're giving me Zak, so you get Engel Beltre AND YOU LIKE IT.

Here's a fascinating theory on the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes from two NL executives: They believe that all the current talk that the Phillies and Red Sox are either the "favorites" or the "most aggressive" teams in the Beltran bidding is being circulated by the Mets to increase pressure on other teams in the bidding. Their theory: The Giants wind up swooping in and getting this done, for a package fronted by dynamic center-field prospect Gary Brown.
|
-Stark.
And apparently as of now the Phillies aren't dealing Brown, Cosart, or Singleton. Now, that could obviously change, but that would put them in the back of the pack for Beltran.

Maybe aggressive just means Amaro won't stop leaving voicemails and re-tweeting all of Wilpon's tweets?

I'm not really familiar with historical opinion by fans, could you elaborate a little bit? I did see the interview.
