My buddy told me they are increasing there payroll?

Crazy.. I know it is video games but in the latest 2k series that team had the least money available with like 46M I think.

If they got Buerle and Reyes (which I don't think is possible, maybe 1) could they contend for that division? The core 3 would be Stanton, Reyes, and Hanley..Phillies would probably still be too much for them to handle but that would be a nice start.

Some Florida sports talk host is reporting that Reyes to the Marlins is almost a done deal. This would possibly be the worst case scenario as a Mets fan. He'd be in the same division plus the Marlins pick is protected so we'd get garbage in return. I hate the Wilpons.

Looks like Papelbon to the Phillies is a done deal. Kind of sucks, but I wish him the very best. Despite the inconsistency, in the end he was one of the few things that wasn't wrong with the team.

Numbers are supposedly 4 for 50. That's a hefty chunk of change for a relief pitcher.
