I think he'd do better in the NL, but his salary absolutely turns me off. I hope the Yanks eat up most of that.

A Bay for Burnett deal would make me happy.

You know we would win that deal. Bay in a good lineup would produce again. While I'm sure Burnett would be better in the NL, I don't know how much better.

Fixed.
The other extreme might be Burnett competing for Cy Young pitching half of the games in Citi.

How many times does this need to be said. Is it a hitter park? Yes. Are the numbers skewed even worse because the Yankees play there? Yes. Is citi a pitcher park? Yes. Does it even look more drastic because the Mets can't hit? Yes.
Also as a righty Bay wouldn't have that much difference.
Also if Burnett ever competed for a NL Cy Young switching to the Mets, you should just fire everyone for fielding the worst pitching staff in history these last few years.

AJ is a fly-ball pitcher that gave up more then a HR per game at home last year and Bay is an all-or-nothing hitter that hit a total of 6 HRs in Citi last year.
You don't think this sort of switch would make a significant difference?

It will make a difference, I just don't think nearly as much of a difference as you think. Pitching against NL lineups will be much more of a difference.

So, Keith Law's top 100 prospects came out today. If you've got Insider, you know what to do. Thanks and + rep.

Why is Cole so high? I'd take all 3 D'Backs pitchers over him
3 top 25 pitchers isn't too shabby though :)

That was one of the things that caught my eye just glancing through it during class, although I'd take Cole over Skaggs.
Others:
-Bauer too low, didn't get Bradley over him at all
-D'Arnaud about 12 spots too high
-Hak-Ju Lee, Vizcaino, Martin Perez, Mason Williams, Wily Peralta, Joe Ross, Daniel Corcino, Taylor Jungmann too high
-Yonder Alonso and Brett Jackson too low
-Randall Delgado too low

Reason: made a mistake - put Bradley instead of Skaggs

I could see a Garrett Jones for Burnett trade. I think Olney suggested that.

I personally have Bradley over Bauer just because of his stupidly insane upside

Meh, I suppose I can see that. I see Bauer having a very similar upside, but he's closer to reaching it and has a much better chance of reaching it given the volatility of pitching prospects in general, let alone high schoolers who have several years of development before they're MLB ready. I'm also higher on Bauer than just about anyone else.

No complaints from me even though I thought Nimmo or Familia might push into the 85-100 range.

Why is Jacob Turner so goddamn low? He was 20 years old and pitched pretty damn well in AA and in samples of AAA. Not his fault he got rushed to the majors.

Because clearly he's going to get Porcello'd by the Tigers.

I went back and didn't realize how low he really was. I'm shocked Law dropped him that much. Makes no sense to me.
