I think it doesn't really matter, someone will slip and we'll get a good player. I like this draft class.

For where we are I think we got a good shot at Houston or Hankerson. Definitely wouldnt be upset with either.
As for a drastic move up, it better be for a player like Julio or if Quinn by some miracle slipped.

So combine is pretty much over for us. The FO has a very good idea on who they are drafting. I really wish I could get inside that interview room, haha.

I'm so ready for the draft. There's no reason for it to be so far away. And even worse this year is that we don't even have FA to keep us busy.

Green is a great wr to help stretch the field and make big plays but IMO he's not built to go over the middle. And that is what the falcons need.
And trent richardson is going to disappoint so many people next year.

Of course they aren't but the point remains the same. Bush was insanely hyped even before he set foot in the NFL and richardson is IMO insanely hyped now. Just to be clear I think he's a fine college rb and would be happy to have him at UGA but I don't think his skills will translate to the pro's.

Basically you're saying since Bush was overhyped in college and failed in pros, any other RB who gets overhyped will also fail.

Im trying to decide if your Trent Richardson comments are actually seious or you are just trolling?
The guy has done nothing but dominate, even when Ingram won the Hiesman, Richardson had more runs that stood out. Guy runs so hard and actually has legit speed. Im really wondering what part of his game you have seen that says he will make a bad pro?? Please list off some things.
As for Reggie, in college he was a man among boys, and to be fair he was disgusting and deserved the hype, as for the pro transition, ppl did have their concerns for him to be able to run up the middle, he did split some carries w/ Lendale so yes people knew that, but you dont just not draft a guy with the credentials he had, he was elite.
So far Richardson looks like a lock. This coming year will be a true test since he will be top dog (even though Ingram was hurt alot this year).

I decided to add a poll to this thread, wanna see some responses.
I read a Mike Smith interview today and pretty much every answer had the word explosive in it. That kinda makes me think we might really be drafting more than one WR and/or RB. Probably will get quite a few playmakers in this draft. Could be that we are trading down to get more pick or that I'm thinking too hard. Either way that's what I'm going with.

And I'm saying he is a great college rb but I do not think he will have nearly the same success in the pro's. I felt the same way about toby gerhart, great college rb and IMO more worthy of the heisman than any one other than suh but he would not have the same amount of success in the pro's. You forget that richardson is running against 18-22 year olds. In the pro's he'll face grown men who are bigger, faster, stronger, and more knowledgeable about how to play ff. It would be fine if he was super fast and/or elusive but he isn't, he relies on being bigger and stronger than the guy trying to stop him and overpowering him.

I hope they don't go overboard drafting offensive players. They need to focus on the defensive side of the ball.

Pretty tough poll to answer. It's completely dependent on who is going to be around. What's most likely? I'm going to say it's that we stand pat and draft one of Kerrigan/Houston/Bailey/Smith.

Reggie Bush and Trent Richardson have different running games.. Bush's game is based on just speed and his ability to be shifty and make people miss. Trent has both those abilities but he is also strong as hell and can easily break tackles and run people over. He will be a frickin animal in the NFL.

I think Kim Kardashian's ass consumed Reggie Bush's pro career.

Not sure if you're aware but most good RBs on the planet are good because they are able to run away and/or outpower the competition.
****, every RB coming out of this draft competed against 18-22 year olds and all of them were successful because of their speed or power.
edit: Just to add on the Reggie Bush comparison.
You said "it would be fine if Trent Richardson was super fast or elusive, but he isn't." Yet Reggie bush is one of the fastest and most elusive RB to come out and yet he still failed.
If Reggie actually had the strength and size Trent does, he would see a much better pro career. He wouldn't be tossed around during games and injured all the damn time.

Boring. Let's move on. We aren't drafting Trent Richardson. He'll be gone long before us, and we won't be dumping Turner.

What does everyone think of Justin Houston as a Falcon? I watched every college game the guy played, but just don't have a strong opinion on him. He made lots of plays the last 2 years, but I'm not sure what to make of his all around game.

They need to Draft both. Do you really think the Falcons are going to use every Draft pick on defense? Mike Smith said in a recent interview:
" Creating the explosive play is an area where we have to improve....You want to win the explosive [play] ratio just like you do the turnover ratio."
