Westbrook to the Eagles?
I hate linking to ESPN but it's an interesting thought. Supposedly McNabb has lobbied hard for Brian Westbrook and he is now scheduled for a visit.
Even though the Redskins already signed the all-star team of the 00s do you see a Westbrook signing in the future? I'll give you one thing if the Redskins figure out how to go back in time with their roster their RB backfield will be scary.
FML. Thread title should be: "Westbrook to the Skins"

thread title fail lol
willie parker, larry johnson, brian westbrook and clinton portis would have been unfair in 2005.
the redskins are square peg into a round hole champions of the universe

I would group Westbrook with Portis. I feel like both have something left in the tank, but neither can manage to stay healthy. Parker and LJ on the other hand are both way past their primes.

willie parker is 29, westbrook is 30 with concussion problems
willie is MADE for shanahans system, the year bell/anderson almost each had 1000 yards, willie would have crushed. hes got terrible vision but he cant take one cut and go

No he can't. Parker is no longer Fast Willie. Westbrook on the other hand can still take one cut and go. We are all aware of his injury problems, but put in the right situation where he isn't asked to carry the workload(Washington) he can still be very productive.

Shanny can make dudes at the bus stop, into 1000 yard rushers. Westbrook would shine in his system.

Seems like the Skins are just stockpiling a bunch of big name RB's. If this were 4 years ago, their RB depth chart would be so stacked it'd be unfair. I'm not worried about the Redskins rushing attack to be honest, they lack a real impact guy, just a rotation of guys who are past their prime.

Portis has still got it. THe word around Redskins Park from local reports is that Shanahan felt CP was slack in his preparation for the last couple of seasons, (not lifting, skipping reps/practices in minicamp and TC), and brought in some guys to remind Portis he's not going to be handed the starting job without earning it.
In a backfield with a QB who can legitimately threaten the D and running in a system geared towards Portis' talents, instead of just running to a hole, he's gonna be on the come once again.
Willie Parker IMO gets cut, LJ is the primary backup, and Ryan Torain will be 3rd on the depth chart.
