LL was talking about how a lot people think it feels more realistic than NCAA and I disagree greatly. I dont think anything feels natural. I hate how the players run in madden. I cant put my finger on it exactly, but it just doesnt feel right and it's been like that for years. The players have a slide to them, it just feels off.

I agree. I've only played half a game, but the only thing that felt more realistic was how receivers and DBs attacked the football.

Why the **** did they feel the need to change the hot route and audible system? WTF is the point of that? Now everyone has to re-learn the audible system? WTF!!! The demo is awful and NCAA is clearly better.

I'm thinking about skipping Madden entirely this year for the first time in 7 or 8 years, I haven't played the demo but the general consensus seems to be that it's basically the same game as last year and the only changes they've made have received negative reviews.

Why do they make like 2 different engines for madden and ncaa. Why cant the actual gameplay be the same but change all the teams/franchise and features and stuff?

I think the selling or breaking point for me is how good the online 3vs3 coop will be. The game mechanics don't seem spectacular, but if the coop portion of the game is awesome it would make spending the money worth it.

I hate that they pretty much eliminated the control pad. I always used the control pad, not the joystick. Now I have to learn how to throw accurately all over again.
And the strategy pad is a pain in the ass. It takes way longer to make presnap adjustments now bc of it.
I still love me some Madden though. There are improvements. The coverage is more realistic, the run stuffing improved, they switch you off to the closest defender again (i hated that about 2010, they never did that and it messed me up alot), qb accuracy and arm strength are more realistic, pass rushers are more realistic.

This Madden will be like any other Madden, new rosters and marginally improved graphics and a few features from the past either added or subtracted. I don't think I'll buy another Madden until the exclusivity deal ends.

I've decided to pick it up on black friday...it always comes down to $30-35.
I got Madden 10, Dragon Age, NBA2K10, and Borderlands dirt cheap last black friday.
Related: Always buy NBA2K games on Black Friday, if you can wait that long. They go to down to $20.

I decided to go with NCAA over Madden, which should feel pretty new to me because I didn't get NCAA 10 last year.

haha. I'm actually geeked for 2K11 for a change, because of Jordan. The games are always money, but now they finally have MJ.

Me too, that and playing with Miami will actually be realistic and not seem like cheating or a roster you just traded everyone on. That plus Jordan is gonna be awesome.

While playing Madden 10, I have a question -
If the offense gets called for holding on say 1st and 10, shouldnt it be 1st and 20? Thanks.
Because, im playing a game and every offensive holding penalty is always 1st and 14 or 1st and 18. Its almost as if the penalty gets added after the positive gain of the play.
For example, 1st and 10 at my 25, I run for 5 yards but offensive holding is called, instead f it being 1st and 20 its 1st and 15. Also, too many penalties. At 50, there's hardly any so I maxed them out to 100 and ofensive holding seems to be the most popular penalty.
Hopefully, this problem is fixed in M11.
Thanks.

I just played the demo again to see if it would change my feelings on the game. Annnnnd it seemed worse than the first time I played it. NCAA seems light years ahead of Madden which is weird because it used to be the opposite.

I've always enjoyed NCAA more than Madden. I didn't really care much for the Madden Demo. I'll still buy it though.

You aren't going to be able to change the Madden franchise with your wallet at this point. I do think they should add elements of the NFL Head Coach games into Madden. They were onto something with Head Coach but I imagine they had trouble moving units.

Odds are i'll stay in and play it at least 2-3 nights during the year, as such offsetting the cost it would have been for me to go out and get some drinks. Worth it just to check out teamplay with some buds, or whoop a few when they come over....

IGN gave it an 8.0 That's the lowest score they have given it in a while I think.
Gamespot gave it an 8.0 as well.
