They really wouldn't get any significant value in return for him at the moment.

I bet the Rangers would love to have him. What better place for him to pick up his career than his hometown state?

I'm sure many teams would want him. Granted they aren't going to give up and elite prospect or an all-star, but if the Cubs put him on the block teams would come calling.

I have a tendency to blame it on Dusty Baker for leaving his pitchers out too long, but Wood's delivery is just prone to injury. Prior has a very good delivery, but it's really just freak accidents. I think Prior will be able to stay healthy once he comes back, but the Cubs need to get rid of Wood soon. He is just too injury prone.

Even though Soriano is probably my least favorite athlete of all time, the Nats would have to be so dumb to do that. One of the best hitters in the league for a pitchers that is constantly hurt.

His value is like crap right now because he has been on the DL so much for so long. Plus a high salary next year/FA coming up

Well, he's already said that he's not going back there, so while it's a huge risk, I assume that that might reap the greatest reward. Of course, that's because I figure that most teams will attempt to low-ball the Nationals since they know Soriano is leaving after this year, but I could be wrong.

He needs to pitch and show he's somewhat healthy to raise his stock. No team will trade any half decent prospects at this present moment.

I'm sick and tired of both Kerry Wood and Mark Prior. The Cubs Conditioning and Pitching Coaches gave Kerry and Mark exercises and workouts to do over the offseason and niether of them did it. It was to help them keep their arms fresh and tighten up their mechanics and they refused to do it. And now, Kerry's on the DL and Mark hasn't pitched in the majors yet this.
Our franchise put all their hope on these two players' shoulders and it came back to bite them. Mark still has very high value because of his potential. If I were to trade Kerry, I'd do it right now, maybe at least get something for him.k...
