Think of it this way. The guy could average like 150 passing yards and 100 rushing yards the rest of the way and still break 2000 passing and 1500 rushing. If Michigan even had a good enough defense to get us to 9-3, I think he'd stand a good chance.

When Jordan Jefferson switched in, it looks like their personnel switched to be able to combat his mobility. When the run failed, and amidst the confusion, it looked they were switching guys on and off for a heavy goalline package. What happened was 4 players were running on, and 4 were running off. But for whatever reason, 2 of the four that were running off turned around, and came back onto the field. All of this while LSU was sending guys on and off too.
Honestly can't tell ya how it went wrong. We'll probably hear what happened from Dooley later in the week, and no doubt him and the coaches will take responsibility for it. Could've been player inexperience being a factor too.

Yeah, that doofus should have recovered that fumble instead of trying to be the hero and scoop it for the TD.
Crazy ending.

Agreed. But if he lays eggs against the teams that count, idc if he wins the Heisman, I will still think of him as the guy that destroyed cupcakes and was average against any resemblance of a defense.
Of course, this is all hypothetical. Denard could gash like Iowa and OSU like they're Bowling Green. We'll see, but I'm still not impressed by Denard's passing ability.

Texas played like dog **** all ******* game long, i was surprised they even had a shot at the end of the game. Aaron Williams epic failing, Jared Norton trying to be a hero, Greg Davis handcuffing G^2 all game, just awful.

Still completed 60% of his passes this game Treat. Yea, he missed some wide open guys (like really wide open), but you've got admit, he's completing almost 70% of his passes for the year, which is alot better than I think you would have expected.

906 rushing yards, eight touchdowns.
1,008 passing yards, seven touchdowns.
1,914 total yards and 15 touchdowns.
How'd you do today, Terrelle?

He's not a great passer, but he is more than good enough to burn you if you load up on the run. If you can stop the run with only seven then he may struggle a bit passing but if you think you're going to put eight or nine in the box then he will light you up through the air.

My favorite play is the "Run up toward the LOS and chuck it to the wide-open receiver" play. Gets 'em every time.

Yea, his passing is better than expected, but it's still not great. He may be completing almost 70%, but if I had to guess, I would say at least 80% of his passes are passes any D1 QB should make.
He's a phenomenal player and pretty much pisses out awesomeness, but if you could limit his rushing, I'm pretty sure he would be incredibly ineffective. Point being, he is never going to beat anyone this year with his arm.
Now, stopping him on the ground, that's a lotttt easier said than done. That's why I want to see MSU this week and Iowa with 2 weeks to prepare before I make any judgment as to how good a player he really is.

See, I don't think he is good enough yet to burn a team consistently if they load against the run. Granted, I'm not talking stacking with 8 in the box, but 6 maybe 7. I haven't seen him make any throws that really would concern a defense.
Containing him on the ground will be incredibly difficult to do, and it's not like he's a god awful passer, I just haven't seen anything from him that leads me to believe he will be able to hit WRs in traffic or on anything other than patterns way down field where he just throws it up.
But yea, teams that need to load the box with 8 or 9 will get burned. Teams like Iowa, OSU, maybe MSU shouldn't need to do that.

So you'll take your chances against Roy Roundtree and the receivers? Okay, let's do that. I'll take UM's chances.

I wouldn't call 6 or 7 in the box exactly "stacking the run." I would love to see a team try to stop Denard with 6 guys.

Well, Iowa's CBs suck, so I'd probably take Michigan's chances too. But we have Sash, so we win. :)
I'm really not viewing this as a whole team. You can take Michigan's WRs, but I'd still bet against Denard having to beat anyone with his arm an entire game based on what I've seen. He has yet to be in a situation where he can't just run away from everything. I want to see how he does in that situation, because even when he can run away from everything he still doesn't look great as a passer. That's pretty telling, imo.
As a note, I think Denard is the sex so far in the season. I love watching him play and he scares the **** out of me as an Iowa fan. I just don't think he has proven anything as a passer.

Well in 2 weeks you'll probably see it attempted.
I'm so scared/excited for that game.

I doubt it. I think only RR and GERG would be that dumb.
Remember I said this, by the way. It's my chance to look stupid if Iowa actually does it and has success.
