2) Your running game is averaging 3.6 ypa, that's not good.
3) In 5 games, Shaun Hill has only had a passer rating above 80 once, against the Rams.
Again, not sure if serious. For having a backup in, the offense has been surprisingly adequate. With the combo of Johnson/Pettigrew, at least you know that Stafford has some weapons to work with, although the running game still needs to pick up and I question if the line can keep Stafford upright without Hill's mobility in the pocket.

They scored a special teams TD and the Rams were playing decent D leading up to the Lions game. The running game is a concern but Best's turf toe is still bothering him. I'm not that serious but I wanted to point out what the offense has done after 5 games. They had the Bears, Vikings, Eagles, Packers, and Rams. I don't think you can hold the caliber of defenses against them.

The Lions are definitely improving, no doubt. Just the fact that they had a chance to win each of those games really says something about the team.
And there is a solid nucleus to build around, especially offensively. People were WAY to quick to jump on the Lions bandwagon (such as it is) this year, but at least they are showing improvement.
And the Vikings are going to fall hard soon (if they haven't already), so there will be room to move up.

Stick a fork in Favre time?
Watched a little of the MNF game, just before the rain fell heavily.
Noticeable was how much Favre looked like dogshit. The passes lacked zip, he was having trouble squeezing passes into narrow windows (that he would've completed a few yrs back ran or shine) & was visibly limping on that ankle. I got the feeling time & especially injuries were finally catching up to the man, he turned 41 on Sunday. I realize that's the biggest cliche in the NFL today but it's hard to ignore & I'm pretty sure Vikes fans feel that way too. Jets fans otoh enjoyed it immensely.
Happy b'day, Brett. Retire now & do everyone concerned, including your HoF career, a big favor.

He was with moss the whole way, it was just a perfect throw. That's a TD against any corner in the league.

Getting beat for TDs by the likes of Moss and Harvin doesn't make Cromartie a bad player. He's the type of guy a defense puts on good WRs. He would start for most teams.

i'll eat some crow, leading up to the draft I didn't think Harvin would be very good. I bit on all the negatives about him, but I've been very impressed with him. That TD catch made me a tru believe. touche mr Harvin, well played sir.

Well he doesn't have the technique to play against a good slot receiver, so I would assume so.

Yeah he must be thinking of Revis. Harvin had three plays all game really, his screen early, his first touchdown on the crossing route where he beat Revis and Moss cleared out the right side of the field. Then the second touchdown where he beat Leonhard in the corner of the end zone with that beautiful catch. There were about 5 other plays where Harvin should have had a catch if it weren't for Favre's accuracy being completely garbage, especially on the last drive where Revis just fell over when Harvin cut right and was wide open with 60 yards of open field in front of him.

You'll never guess the #1 and #2 ranked defenses in the NFL right now...

I knew number two. Their offense and special teams give up more points...

I think those numbers are based on YPG not PPG.
