Houston beat KC, the other skyrocketing instant success team in the early season, although IMO it was on a completely bogus PI call that the pundits were saying was one of the worst ever since the no-call bogus TD on Detroit in the opener.
Agree with this entire post.

The AFC South is incredibly overrated at this point - nobody's bad in that division, but nobody's really good either. I still stand by Tennessee being the best team.

Okay, people need to chill the **** out on that PI call. Yeah, it was terrible to call it on Flowers, but had they not called it at all (which should've been the case, that little shove is something that WRs do all the time), Johnson easily had the catch.

What are the chances McGahee gets traded by tomorrow? Keep in mind that he did not touch the ball yesterday.

He could get traded.. but to who Packers?

Him and Marion Barbz are potential players to trade.

It was clearly OPI. There is no other way to look at it. He got separation and was able to catch the ball BECAUSE of the blatant pushoff right in front of a ref. I have absolutely no idea what the ref saw from Flowers that could be considered DPI. It was ridiculous all around.

However, we still let them back in the game in the fourth. We hadn't let a single team score more than 19 in a game all year, and the Texans scored 21 in one quarter. Our defense collapsed late in the game, but those kind of calls are just annoying. It was basically a free 34 yards in the final two minutes of a close game.

Oh well, it's over, time to move on and get ready for the Jags at home.

Here's the play just in case someone hasn't seen it yet.

What an awful call.

So, I either wouldn't have called anything on that play thinking "let the players play in a key moment" or it should have, if anything, been OPI. Horrible.

It definitely wasn't DPI that's an absolute joke, but I see guys get away with the kind of thing AJ did all the time so a no call isn't the worst thing in that situation.

The only thing I could see from the official's vantage point is maybe Flowers had his right arm in front of Johnson. He could see that, but we can't.

Even so, very weak call.

So Jermichael is officially out for the year...on top of Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, and Morgan Burnett.
Add in Clay Matthews, Ryan Pickett, Brandon Chillar, Brady Poppinga, Mark Tauscher, Donald Lee, Sam Shields, Mike Neal, and Derrick Martin all missing substantial time... and of course Al Harris and Atari Bigby still recovering last from last year. Oh and the ARod concussion.

I know injuries are a part of the game but come on....this is just crazy.

It's not that crazy...you guys went through the same thing in 2005. It happens to a few teams every year. It just sucks because expectations were so high.

Good news for the Packers is they are still very much in the division race.

He'll get his chance once he leaves the Colts. When a team spend a 1st rounder on a RB they don't value the current one very much and plan to let he walk.

Exactly. There are plenty of teams that would be very happy to trade places with the Packers right now.

This is Aaron Rodgers' time to shine and show everyone if he's one of the undisputed top QBs in the game or just a fantasy stud. It's his time to take them on his back and carry them somewhere.

Their division competition is very weak.

Compared to the South and East who have teams that are looking really good.

I assume you're talking about the Lions. Yeah, the division isn't as tough, but they're already 0-3 in it, and have a tough upcoming schedule with a lot of out of division teams with winning records like the Jets, Pats, Bucs and Dolphins. I think 7-9 would be the absolute best they could hope for if the immediately turned things around and beat all of their division oppoents. Would be so tough....
