What if Willis McGahee..............
What if Willis McGahee never suffered that injury in the National title game, and was a top 5 pick as projected?

Don't think he lost as much speed as people like to pretend, and I thought he was overrated before his injury. People love "what if" stories, and they always get played up at least a bit.

Lol yea. Every time I'm not part of the mob, I haven't watched someone. I'm a huge huge fan of the U.
Oh by the way, a lot of guys got those numbers, I learned in the Andre Johnson thread that touchdowns are meaningless, so there isn't anything that special about it.
Larry Johnson was better than Willis even before the injury, and Willis was a pretty good prospect, that turned into a pretty good player. He was overhyped a good bit, and wasn't an Adrian Peterson kind of player.

What ifs are terrible and can be said about any situation. Just avoid them.

Willis became what I thought he would be even before the injury, 1100-1200 back, and 4 yards per carry type of dude.

McGahee was sensational.
I was overseas during that Title game against Ohio State and couldn't believe when I learned Miami lost to the Buckeyes.
When I saw the highlights of that gruesome hit, I almost puked.
I HATE pussies who tackle like that!
As much as we're seeing helmet to heads cracked down on, I'm also sick of DBs diving into the knees/legs of players like that.
Why don't these DBs tackle like men these days? Very few do.

The fact that he came back from that injury and was able to have a decent NFL career is pretty amazing, most thought his career was done. A better "WHAT IF" might be Ki-Jana Carter, probably the last running back to go #1 for quite a while.

No one would care if Frank Gore didn't blow out his knees.

AD and Willis arent the same type of player, AD could never get close to a 4.2
also please show me someone with a season near as good as that, Bush is the only one i can think of

Willis before the injury was the best college RB I'd ever seen. Since then, AD has surpassed him, but still...those are the top 2 if you ask me. Willis was absolutely unreal.

What is it with great Miami backs and horrific knee injuries.
Imagine what Frank Gore, McGahee, and Edge could have been if they never had suffered those injuries.

Wasnt Gore unanimously the best out of all of them but had those terrible knee injuries?
