I played Angry Birds on the computer, don't really get the hype. I'll have to check out/try some of the other ones. I still love words with friends haha

sounds like the pc/mac thing. ibc was dead on with most of what he said, though i don't buy that the x is outdated yet. it seems more likely you have crapware on your phone and it's breaking it. it's the danger of not letting the ghost of steve jobs decide what apps you should have, i guess.
realistically, on that phone, i went through once a week or so, and deleted anything i hadn't used once that week. keep the app count low, remove things that may be trying to run in the background, quit running things like task killers (or anti-virus) and you should be doing better.

The only thing ill say NJX is that the Droid X is only a single core processor at 1ghz and has 512 MB of RAM. Compared to newer phones that is slow slow slow.
Like I said that should be his last ditch effort and get something like the Nexus. (Just like a few of you guys, I have it and love it!)

i don't disagree that it's not top of the line at all, but there weren't very many apps that i run that showed a ton of difference. if i weren't a technology *****, i'd probably still be using it.
i guess, it's age shouldn't be showing the issues bbd is having. those seem app specific.
the more i think about it, the more it sounds like some bizarre boatloading a/v, or app killer thing. stop downloading those, people. they're stupid, useless and you don't need them.

What's crapware? As you can tell, I'm not very good with gadgets. I think for a guy like myself, who isn't great with computers, the simpler the OS the better.
So I'm torn what my next phone is going to be. I love Google Navigation, that's the main thing that's keeping me with Android right now.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S III today. Looks pretty awesome. I've been wanting to switch to Android for some time now, so I might wait a little longer and pick one up when it's released this summer.

My Galaxy S II is the best piece of tech I've ever owned....and I've got one of the crappy variants. The screen on the Galaxy S III doesn't seem to be as quite as good as some other phones(the HTC One X looks quite a bit better)...but aside from that it looks like a beast.

generally, crapware/bloatware, whatever, would be anything pre-loaded. i'm not sure if verizon does that crap to the iphone, too, but it's the only annoying thing about their android phones. but like i said, if you have task killers, delete them. you don't need them and the android OS manages that stuff without your intervention. if you download any anti-virus, delete it. it's just going to consume resources and do nothing worthwhile. check your memory and see what's consuming a lot of processor time (should be under system someplace). delete it if you don't actually use it.
realistically, i don't buy that iphone's are any easier to use. they just have less options, so it 'feels' simple. android can be just as simple. fwiw, however, if you go to an iphone, just download waze. works just as well for navigation and it's free.

Try the Nokia Windows phone? Not even close to the customization or the apps of androids. But way smoother and everything just works. Plus the phone looks absolutely stunning.
Android was a lot of fun when I had time to mess with my phone and load roms and stuff. Loved my OG galaxy and HTC hero. But now, I get buried with work and prefer something simplistic. Windows is great for me.

My atrix is sucking ass now because of its swim a few months ago. Thinking of dumping T-mobile however and switching to Sprint and picking up the Samsung Galaxy...may hold out for the III

Google Nexus 7 Tablet
I almost bought a Kindle Fire until I heard the rumors for this. Specs finally out.
I'm a big Google fan (I use email, docs, calender, play, etc) so I'll be picking this up instead.

I saw this the other day... I don't anticipate it running "Jelly Bean" unless it isn't coming out this year. With Ice cream sandwich only being released last winter and isn't even widely utilized as an OS yet.
Although looks like a quality tab.

I have been debating on whether or not to purchase a tablet for when I have to travel. That might put me over the edge.

Mine functions perfectly for what I need it for. I have a massive gaming rig, PS3, 360 and Wii. I wanted something I can browse the internet on, watch hulu, netflix and mlb.tv on and have a great battery.
If you use them for what they are tablets are great but by no means are they a computer replacement.

Found a few games that I've become addicted to:
Rage of Bahamut - Collectible Card Game
Dinosaur War - Sorta Civ-like in that you gather resources and use them to build a dinosaur army.
Monster Galaxy - Pokemon-esque. Capture creatures, fight them to level em up, conquer the Zodiac islands with them.
